I hope he realizes his reputation will be much different either way with the way he has let this go on. If he doesn't take the job, I'm sure there will be much more like you who will be done with him. If he accepts the job then everybody loves him.

Yup. Especially if he drags out negoations and just decides not to in the end and leaves us scrambling for someone because UF has already scooped up Kelly. Gruden would honestly be more hated to me than even Saban at that point. So if he doesn’t plan to he better say so quickly or a lot of people in this area he “cares so much about” aren’t going to think highly of him anymore.

We need this. Please don’t break our hearts Gruden. Lol.

My "source" has not given me a bullet list of things that are going on, or made wild claims or any predictions about future events. He gave me exactly one piece of information, but he is absolutely in the exact position to give me that one piece of information. That piece convinces me that Gruden was done 2 days ago.

You, AtlantaVol, Boro, DTO, etc are the posters that I trust. You guys bring the info you hear, and I trust you’re getting good info! From what I’ve seen all of your all’s info lines up, so that’s a positive in my opinion. I see Bubba and MITbeav, and think yeah they might be trolls. I however do not believe they are. You would have to be somebody living in your moms basement to troll as hard as they have been. I mean think about things logically guys. If Alabama has a coaching search and they had a “dream candidate” would you go through the lengths these guys have gone through to convince an opposing fan base that it’s happening? I believe these guys personally because you’d have to be insane to devote that much time to trolling. I would make somebody pay me to troll that much, and I don’t think there are any professional trolls in our midst. Trolls are the ones that pop in once or twice to say it’s happening then never show back up, and these guys have not done that! They’ve been consistent with their message, and they have also been nice and cordial to the good people on this board. Y’all think I’m crazy if you want, but I don’t think those guys are trolls.

Thank you! We may have Gruden, who knows. Babyvol is vague, never gives details, and is always flaky with dates with the off chance he may be right. It doesn't take much to realize this.

Bcarter, the plumber, tightened those up last night.

I don't feel he singled anyone out by name, necessarily, but it has given this place pause, to say the least.

Anything of this magnitude is going to take time. There’s a lot to consider and a ton of moving parts.

in merit, i agree with you....

here's the thing though...if Gruden is the guy we won't take no for an answer from, then what on Earth are we holding back on?

if he is "that guy" then TN just keeps saying YES, until it's time to say no.

but the reality is there really shouldn't be that much left to negotiate on that are true sticking points for this deal to get done, if it is as far along as we think it is.

and if it's that close, and the deal does get done/has been done in the last/next 48 hours, then you would announce it as soon as you possibly could.

so if all this stuff is true, and he is going to sign, then i'd expect something announced by Monday at the very latest. and if it's not, then i'd say it's not gonna happen, and either Gruden was never in play as has been reported, or he flat turned us down, and got cold feet. cause there's no way we got up from the table and said "no deal" this time around if what we're being told is true.
