If its a done deal i bet they anmounce it today. Too many leaks and Grumors swirling about. There will still be plenty of positive energy during OV weekend and if they don't somebody will beat ESPN to the punch.

As you all know this hire would shake the football foundation. College and Pro football. UT/Gruden/future of SEC football will be in the media hard and heavy for weeks. Idk why not announce it now, IF. IT. IS. DONE.

I think I accidentally boarded the Humdrumvee. Either that, or you guys pushed me out of the Funvee when I wasn't looking.

Thank you! We may have Gruden, who knows. Babyvol is vague, never gives details, and is always flaky with dates with the off chance he may be right. It doesn't take much to realize this.

Could be wrong, but I don't think Babyvol on TOS is the same as the Babyvol that used to post here. If it is, his source is as reliable as it gets.

The Grude News, thoughtful insights for this morning. For those just joining us...

OX0yQ.gif

Good morning everyone. And what an interesting 24 hours it's been since the last update. This morning, I'll apologize in advance on not having all the up to date news and tidbits from the previous 24 hours. Instead of reading through pages and pages of info and coming up with a recap, I took the night off. Watched some TV, ate a calzone with the dog and just relaxed. And came to an epiphany...

It's over.

I can't say that with any certainty, but it's my belief this search is over. I do know that after 35 different threads, more than 285,000 posts (at the time of me writing this) and 20.2 million views (as of 11-15-2017) of everything Gruden related, our journey is almost at an end. It actually came to me about a week ago when I noticed a subtle change in one of our mysterious posters. Beaver stopped providing riddles and insight and started being, well, just a regular poster. He seemed calm. Like a man who's job was at an end and knew the outcome. He wasn't nervous, wasn't trying to pass on information. Just started being normal, yet still limited in his posting.

Combine that with our regulars Boro and DTO grinning like the Cheshire Cat and being eerily calm about the whole affair. And if this was about to fall apart, I doubt they would be around to get their backsides kicked a second time. Bubba saying goodbye and leaving as quickly as he came on board. Atlanta being mysteriously quiet save his posts from yesterday. Other posters are coming forward with information that the deal is pretty much done. The atmosphere is one of completeness. Of seeing the tape flickering at the end the marathon. And barring any unforeseen problems, I believe Gruden to be our next coach at Tennessee based on the actions, and inaction, of those we have come to trust.

Rumors are swirling, information is leaking out, people are talking. However, I believe the information is somewhat behind in that world and everything is as done as it could be. And we don't have Gruden, but rather Gruden is joining us in our love for Tennessee. I don't know when or how the announcement will be made, but I feel like we are spinning our wheels trying to figure everything out and waiting on every Tweet and message board post to provide us with the answers.

The answers are right in front of us. Others have pieced together the intricate details of "how" and inner workings of the deal like SFD and Hawk, but I just feel based on the human element things are done. And we must wait for the official announcement.

From the entire Volnation News Team, I'm Grand Vol and are we there yet? That is the question.

Like how you think GV and also think that you are correct...
personally I wish they would roll him out and announce it Saturday at the game while they honor the 1997 SEC championship team...nothing like getting 100K approval instantly

Babyvol on VQ in regards on waiting till Monday

"It’s all about the current players and coaches. The current coaches want to make a good showing to help their job status going forward. Current players are still trying to make a Bowl, the less distractions the better."

I could see Gruden wanting it this way

The Blackburn thing is not just loud but it screams that Gruden IS Interested

This is the piece that helps me keep some faith right now. The twitter trio has raised my doubts. I know it can be explained away as a way to communicate. At the same time it is obvious the beavs profile wants to be seen. Now that could be trolling or legit hints. It could also be that he truly set out to be the stalking horse and was trying to speak this thing into existence vs. giving real info.

Plane-tracking, smokescreens, and mis-direction....oh my!

Feels like 2012 all over again.

I'll believe Gruden to the Hill when I see it (and I really hope I see it.....REALLY!).

Realistically, I am preparing myself for David Fo'real from NC State, DJ Dunkin' Donuts from Maryland, Michael Noway from Memphis, and their little cousins from some directional school. Bcarter took the wind right out of my sails last night.

yeah, if he were to take this job, the bigger concern would be how do you slow him down?

Ha! Interesting you say that. Nothing important, just sitting in church last night, and for reasons to many to discuss, I started thinking about the "machine" that TENNESSEE has the potential to be.

Yea, it's very realistic that Jon could turn this program into...scary.

Obviously nothing is guaranteed, but the potential is real.

That is a big concern for me. I can't stand the state run media, but for them to be 100% off the train is starting to say something, to me anyway.

If I'm the AD, I would at least have someone at the flagship station clued into some of my activities.

Not necessarily....he was adamant about only believing what came directly from his mouth and said so in the presser. Personally, I feel that they have a date in mind for announcing the big news and don’t want it to upstage Hoke and the team for this weekend’s game. Trying to give the program a chance to stabilize after firing Butch is smart. Then reenergize the program and fan base with a huge announcement.

Swain doesn't know anything more than we do. He's a fan and has shown it a dozen times already. Swain isn't "hearing" anything outside VolNugs Twitter.

Can fault Swain for anything, he's getting excited just like we are. He's trying to stay objective but the possibility of UT finally stepping out of the dark despair we've been in is overwhelming and making us lose all reason.....if it happens, its gonna be legend...wait for it....ary!

Grudemorning grudenites

Hammered out a tough shoulder workout this morning.

I’m no insider but with everything that’s been put out I too believe our search is over.

SOONER!!!
