Yeah, because no CEO of any multi million $ corp ever thought more than 5 years ahead.

Yeah, and his future plan involves infrastructure and academics, and making sure we stay in the positive in revenue, etc. There is no future plan for coaches. None. We have no idea how the next one is going to work out.

She had brain surgery 3 months ago to remove brain tumor. They got 60% of it. She has been through chemo radiation for the last 30 days. It has kicked her ass and left her devastated and she is ready to give up hope. I know miracles can happen. I love you all. Gruden to the hill soon! We believe!

I'm praying for you and your wife Fish. The Grumors are super fun and i hope they provide some comic relief for you guys, but at the end of the day our family is the most important thing we have. And you've got a huge extended family here. Let us know if we can do anything to help. Otherwise stay strong and keep the faith when it gets too hard for her to have any. Love you man

When you write a business plan for a new company or idea, you always have to have short term and long term outlooks in there. Along with most likely, best case, worst case.

Banks and investors want to see 5 and 10 year plans.

Volquest won't gimme that promotional code just trying to charge me. Why pay for that? Seems like you just get access to Brent and a few reporters

My wife doesn’t like the amount of time that I️ spend on VN, and it’s free. Can’t imagine what she would do if I️ were paying to get my Grumor fix.

there is more to all of this than hiring and firing. Whats the timeline on the 340m neyland facelift? You think it was drawn up overnight? Financial plans are absolutely projected and layed out in increments longer than 5 years. Doesnt mean they are met or unaltered during the timeframe.

You are talking about buildings and finances which are one thing. Others are talking about grand plans for creating a football dynasty with coaches and successors. It just seems entirely far fetched that they would plan that far in the future in regards to our football team when the past ten years all we’ve seen is these same people puddling about.

Why is knowing the bartenders or caddies names, or details about the Honors course "hilarious" and "out of touch"? I've been to a ton of them, and it sounds like info any member woukd know to me. Atlanta Vol is about as legit as you get on VN.

Could not care less about names and factual information. IT was the manner in which he spoke about his time at a CC. No one who is actually a member of any club speaks in the way he did.

Never claimed to be the smartest guy here, but I tell you what...Who is our next coach going to be? How are they going to do next season? How is Bama, FLA, UGA going to be? How much longer is Saban going to be there? Ok, now how about in 5 years? Since you think you know, tell me. Curries 10 and 20 year plan is to renovate the stadium and make sure the foundation is set for whoever the coach is in 10 and 20 years. He has already done that. There is no 10 year plan for who your coach is. HCs succeed or fail on their own time. Assistants leave all the time for other jobs. You, me, Currie....none of us know the future...there is no plan beyond the next hire.

And you’re narrow minded enough to think this is all about the next hire for football. You think all the power brokers are in Tampa tonight to convince Jon Gruden to be our coach? You don’t think 10 million/yr would do that? They want to know his plan becaus unlike you, they expect him to be here for many years and want to know what it takes to get there. The poor think day to day. The middle class think week to week. The wealthy think year to year and the rich think decade to decade. You might find yourself a little more successful in life if you planned further along than next month.

If all the power players are on board with Gruden, which would be a rather large investment, I would like to think they care about the future of UT football moving forward.

I mainly stayed in Pinellas county. I'm not a bar or nightclub guy, so we pretty much stayed away from those areas. I love the parks, the beaches, the little family hangouts, and Busch Gardens, Siesta Key, Dunedin, Safety Harbor and beautiful cheap golf courses, catchin a Rays, Bucs, SFU or Lightning game 😎

The people you keep referring to that were here for the past ten years are no longer here.....not trying to jump on you but things have changed.

Their wedding was at her old school Academy of the Holy Names on Bayshore. SO beautiful looking out form school over the bay. I cannot imagine having that outside and sitting in a classroom!

Loved living on the peninsula! (Ulmerton and 66th behind Wing House in Largo.) every place you just mentioned warmed my heart a little! Man. I miss living down there, but at the end of the day, Rocky Top is Home Sweet Home to Me

What did atl vol say tonight. I went back forever n didn't see it. Do u know what started the uproar

Atl didn't say anything tonight. Bcarter threw a huge wet blanket on the whole thread by calling out trolls, even though he says he comes here for info himself..you'll have to go search his posts to find out what started it all.

There is absolutely, 100%, no 10year, 20 year, or 30 year plan. No way. No one anywhere has any clue whats going to happen 5 years from now. All Currie is trying to do is make sure this next hire succeeds. He does not care one bit about a succession plan, at all.

See.. to even an old redneck like me that just sets Currie up for failure. You don't manage a program worth millions and not have a long term plan. It's in his best interest to do so, at least contingency plans for certain situations.

What if Gruden fails? Barnes has a heart attack? Growth opportunities for facilities,

Old man Haslam won't be around forever. Who will fill his shoes as lead dog on the booster front?

All of that and 100 more things should be planned for as far in advance as possible.

If he isn't he is setting himself up for failure.
