CTV is insinuating that the other in that situation where ALL involved and the other two are still doing it since they weren’t called out

This forum was targeted for a reason. And it wasn't to disclose business dealings.

Maybe since this is a free sure and has a broader spectrum of the fan base they thought this would be a good place to plant a few seeds to germinate and spread.

I'm not into conspiracy theories but there was a purpose behind it.

Someone brought up the fact that Blackburn quit and didn't take another job and has been silent up until now. That does seem odd.

If there is a 20 or 30 year plan then we have no idea when it was implemented. It could have started months or even years ago.

But by who? Ergen? The Andersons? A coalition of boosters tired of one family (Haslams) calling the shots and leveraging a power shift?

Who knows, it's above my paygrade. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, I just try to apply common sense to what I read and there are some glaring questions that will never be answered.

It will only make sense when the coach and the staff are announced. It could be more of the same ish. Or, it could be something bigger. Only time will tell.

For the people accusing everyone of being trolls... think about what you’re saying... All these people, who have been on VN for years and have well known profiles... Are making all of this up just for their own entertainment? I could understand if it were a bunch of new profiles that had never posted before, which is why so many people doubted MIT at first... UNTIL he was vouched for by another well known poster.

I’m sure there are some trolls in this thread, but these long time members with profiles dating back 5+ years and have 10,000+ posts are obviously not trolls. They may be getting inaccurate information, but they’re not deliberately trying to deceive anyone. They bring the information they get from their sources. It’s entirely possible that their sources are wrong, which they openly acknowledge...

Just because you can’t go verify every word they say doesn’t mean they’re making it up, or that it’s incorrect. Many of the details around this coaching hire will never be made public.. so the information you get here may be all you ever get. It’s not like once Gruden is hired, Currie will write a book detailing every step of the process. We’ll get the announcement and that’s it. Everything that is being speculated now will still be speculation even after Gruden is hired. We will never know for sure how it all went down because none of us were directly involved in the process.

Blackburn resigned at UTC on June 14, 2017. Fulmer was appointed special advisor for athletics on June 20, 2017.

Fulmer stated at time of hire that he had NO animosity for John Currie, and would work well with him. Blackburn said the exact same thing in today's article.

He was basically forced out at UTC. I'm a student there and very much connected to the admin. I was in the interviews when interviewing for the new AD. I actually talked to Mark Wharton tonight and he said: "I have no clue what will happen in Knoxville."

That's correct. He just said some were trolls but not all. He didn't say nor imply to anyone in particular. I think most of all that have been here for along time know that you, boro, and AV are not trolls and many more that bring honest info. I think a lot of folks in here trolling are not even UT fans, they either love being negative or they really are fans of other teams. Not all, certainly we have UT fans that are just truly skeptical and there is nothing wrong with that either. Anyone that would just be here to make stuff up for the sake of it truly does have problems. I take in all opinions and base my thoughts on who I personally think is legit based on their history and what I have been told. I have a few contacts that do have some good inside info that I can almost assure is legit. I'm convinced Gruden has a offer this time, in 2012 I think there was for sure interest from boosters at least. But I believe this time there is more support all the way around and that they have cleared the path that Gruden wanted. I believe. SOON!!!!! GRUDEN TO THE HILL! Headed to rocky top tomorrow. I will check in live from the Holiday Inn at Cedar Bluff sometime tomorrow afternoon. Yeah the legendary Cedar Bluff holiday inn. Oh the irony! LOL! Never give up man. I know someone who was diagnosed, told point blank that it would kill them, and they are still here over 18 years later.

I am going to mess up the correct name, but it was called Poly Glioma / Astrocytoma at the time. Some kind of combination tumor. They did surgery, chemo, and radiation. Told afterwards that while it may give them some time, "this will kill you.".

Doctors don't know everything, miracles happen. Praying for your wife.
