No matter how this winds up, Ive been able to put some things in perspective. I grew up with Orange blood. Not an alumni, but born into the Orange and taught by my dad. He was always a huge Tennessee fan, and his love for the Orange rubbed off on me. Like most, we didnt always get along but weve always had TN football to bring us together. Some of my greatest memories in my life are intertwined with watching the Vols play. Turning down the TV and listening to John Ward count TD yards down one by one until by the time he got us in the end zone we were lining up for the kick. These last several years have been hard, sure, but Ive just begun to realize how much I took the really good years for granted. Dad is getting up in years, but it looks like the powers that be are at worst willing to go all out for a HFC and staff that can get us back to where we belong and at best maybe even pull in what might be considered one of the boldest moves ever in our coaching history. For that Im thankful, and I fully believe that, Good Lord willing, dad and I will once again be able to enjoy TN football again....and maybe even in a way we never have before. But this time, no taking it for granted. Thanks to all whove played a role in making this happen, and thanks to the VolNation family for making this thread so fun. Go Vols!
