I was sitting at my terminal waiting to board my flight for a friends Wedding in Cancun. This was June of 2014. Who do I see walking around Ohare Airport, Jon Gruden. I went up to him and told him I enjoy his work on MNF. He said thank you. I told him I was a big Vols fan. I straight up asked him how close were to being the Head Coach of the Vols. He smiled and said I don't know. Can't talk about that. He said Butch was a good coach and would get it done at UT. I thanked him for his time.

Ok. Last I checked Gruden was on Mike and Mike saying he "hasn't talked to anybody" and all wants to do is keep his job at MNF...but "never say never". To me that seemed like bad news. Meaning we aren't even talking to him and haven't been all this time. Now i'm seeing all this excitement on here and scrolling back and not finding the "boom" that ya'll are excited about. Can anyone briefly let me know what everyone's excited about?

I know we're all on pins and needles waiting on word about the great Grud but don't let all this excitement distract you from the fact that 21 years ago today the MonStars blew a 66-18 halftime lead to the Michael Jordan led Tune Squad
