I will say this.. I'm not connected to anyone UTK at all, but I'm a student at UTC and connected to Administration at UTC. I have heard from two people that the Gruden reaching out to Blackburn is true. I don't know if this has to do with compliance position or what, but Gruden is in talks contrary to some media reports and is reaching out.

There's no NCAA rule in place that prohibits other ADs from approaching sitting coaches. Some may inform their current AD as a professional courtesy, but they are not obligated to by the NCAA.

I think with a loss on Saturday to take us out of bowl consideration, the announcement comes Monday or Tuesday.

No, the problem has been removed. If at all possible, announce before the game. The gravity of the emotional impact could actually drive us toward a bowl rather than remove us.

I have heard today from my source and only thing new that he has said is that, Inky had been reached out to. When asked if it was for VFL coordinator he said yes.

I think you do just that to create excitement on game day. The players are already isolated. No more of a distraction than usual.

They are dealing with a major change now. Im not sure why adding another (on a Cat 5 level) is beneficial 3 days before a game.
