From what I understand, he still has a scheduled OV in place for Vandy weekend, but if something changed then that's even more reason to announce Gruden asap to get him back on campus for that weekend.

I'm speculating with this part. I believe Gruden had already signed off. I believe the big confab in Tampa today, assuming it took place as rumored, was to reach a consensus on essentially a 20 year plan for the program, which would likely include life after Gruden. That's why it was a "pivotal" moment. I think the long term plan involves individuals who may be coming on staff as Gruden's assistants.

In any event, I don't see how they keep the lid on past this weekend, much less after Vandy.

Everything aside from the direct info I got on Gruden himself signing is JMO.

this is the kind of planning and forethought we Tenesseans hope and dream for. The long term health of the program has felt more important to us than to the people in charge. I hope any and all of what you say is reality (i understand its your opinion) because that would be much more promising than just the next coach.

Folks it's time for me to take a break. I will be looking but not posting much until the announcement. Just stay patient and enjoy the ride.
