I won't argue Mullen anymore in here. If you want my full argument against him. Then go to his thread, or look in my history. I will say that he would NOT be a splash!

Barely a step above is inaccurate, he’s head and shoulders above Butch.

People don’t give him enough credit for the job he’s done at State. Not saying I want him but he’s def underestimated in his ability to coach.

Not easy beating Bama, LSU, Auburn and A&M when you have 2 & 3* talent

If nothing happens Wednesday, I won’t be ready to “move on” yet.. It will be discouraging, but at this point I’m all-in until either Gruden or another coach is officially announced. If that day comes and it’s another coach, I will start the process of moving on. Depending on who it is, that could take 2 days or 2 years.

I just want to take a moment to thank those of you who donated to Desmond's family, they wanted me to express their gratitude to you all from the bottom of their hearts. Especially Atlanta Vol. I posted a thread in the Pub forum as I do not feel that it is appropriate to derail the talk of the chosen one in here. But did want to take a moment to say thank you and point out that things like this are why we are the greatest fan base in all of football.

Let me be clear... I DO NOT, under any circumstances, want Mullen at UT. That includes as an alternative to Gruden. There are at least 10 alternative coaches I would want over Mullen if Gruden said no.

So you want 2&3* star guys here? Or, are you suggesting that it is impossible to get better than that there? A winner wins! A recruiter gets talent! He does neither!

Recruiting to Tennessee is much easier than recruiting to State

Our facilities, Stadium, fan base, history **** on theirs.

He would be able to recruit at a higher level here.

Again, I’m not advocating him just having good conversation on a coach who people think for some reason isn’t a good coach. When in the grand scheme of things, he is.

Tennessee deserves a GREAT coach though so, I’m no on Mullen as well
