Nosiree! No, he would not....
I know it's just opinions, but NOTHING he's done at MSU says that he would do that well in the SEC East. He'd still have to play Bama every year--and other tough teams from the West....and he just hasn't done too well against them.
Mullen is fool's gold as a Head Coach in the SEC....shiny, draws attention to what potentially could be--but never delivers.
He is just barely a step above CBJ as a HC...
I simply do not understand why a SEC HC with a 32-38 SEC record gains so much support for a HC at UT with our program in such disarray....
Now--he'd be a great hire as an OC for some team.....
Considering he was playing against Bama, LSU, Auburn and A&M at their heyday with Manziel thats not awful.
Mississippi State is the Vandy of the West, accept not as smart

Should be praying... our insiders said Wednesday is the make or break, Either Gruden accepts or we move on, although they all already claimed he was a done deal and money was there for assistants but who knows?

I just got caught up. I was busy having a dance party with the 3 most wonderful little girls in the world.
I saw a few folks asking me to respond. I'm on mobile so it is super time consuming to get back where I was when I comment on something. I'm sorry.
Glad to see that some folks were concerned that I might still be stuck at the tire place. It was really hard to leave, but I somehow managed.
It has been a good night, everyone. Rest easy. Good times are in our immediate future!
Go Vols!
Barely a step above is inaccurate, hes head and shoulders above Butch.
People dont give him enough credit for the job hes done at State. Not saying I want him but hes def underestimated in his ability to coach.
Not easy beating Bama, LSU, Auburn and A&M when you have 2 & 3* talent
So you want 2&3* star guys here? Or, are you suggesting that it is impossible to get better than that there? A winner wins! A recruiter gets talent! He does neither!
great fan base. Dont feel like your derailing the thread. 🙏I just want to take a moment to thank those of you who donated to Desmond's family, they wanted me to express their gratitude to you all from the bottom of their hearts. Especially Atlanta Vol. I posted a thread in the Pub forum as I do not feel that it is appropriate to derail the talk of the chosen one in here. But did want to take a moment to say thank you and point out that things like this are why we are the greatest fan base in all of football.
