Preacher i know you post here a lot and everyone respects you. But just curious why you would prefer Gruden over Peyton. I know there is no chance Peyton will coach but just curious.

Because Gruden is a coach. Peyton is a QB

There is one candidate that we all would prefer over Jon Gruden. And I dare say this in the Gruden thread. Peyton Manning would be #1 on everyone’s list. Even the most religious Grudenites in here. And it would totally blind side us all and make Saban #*#* his pants. Wonder if that has been discussed at all?

No way do I want Peyton as coach. If he had a few bad seasons, fans would turn on him. Let’s just keep Peyton at Legend status.

first sentence ... i don't know about any of that, other than i do post here way too much lately.

as for peyton and gruden, don't get me wrong, i'd take peyton in any coaching capacity and be thrilled, but gruden is proven at the highest level ... as a coach, responsible for (pretty much) the whole program. peyton does not have that experience.

that's just my opinion.
