I should have been clearer. Tennessee wouldn't be where "we" are as a program with respect to hiring Gruden, if he wasn't ready to pull the trigger.

He has given enough of his time and information to indicate he has a purpose; and that he was sent to deliver a very clear (though, cryptic) message. His sightings have all the earmarks of a troll, but his delivery and content do not.

This is condensed, of course, but explains in enough detail to give the average interwebber enough wherewithal to run with.

this has been a rough afternoon but here's what I THINK may have happened

someone put out a report that gruden wasn't interested in UT with that headline and everyone ran with it because they THINK that sounds the most realistic.. is it true? could be... but 1 report blasted out everywhere doesn't make up for all the other news we have heard....

my only caveat is unless he came back and said no finally - beav or whoever else can give us some real info... we need more hope... what is the scoop now.... still in play... not in play... anything changed, etc.?

The way this works is it is all Gruden until it isn’t. Ups and downs with tweets don’t dissuade us.
