The slide started in the 2001 Championship game against LSU. Instead of playing for the National Championship, we ended up in the Citrus Bowl and started a slow decline.

We were way too overconfident and under prepared. However, we would have gotten crushed by Miami anyway.

Yep. That SEC Championship loss ranks up there as one of the most painful losses during my lifetime.
