Hey Gruden Family:
Just got home from a tortuous all day mediation. Complete cluster**ck, but we got the deal done and settled.
Bad news is that I have no idea whats going on. I'm going to start the process of catching up, but if anyone has a cliff notes version of what to look for, I'd appreciate it.
Nails you want to know a hypothetical way to get info from bad people.
You put them under the hood, let's say a sandbag over their head, then you put goggles that are blacked out on them, then tell them to give you 5 names of associates and where they are or they are going to Guantanamo...when they don't..you put them on an airplane and fly around in a circle until they give them up. Then they have to keep coming back because now they're a snitch. And the cycle goes on with the next 5.
The point: It all starts with two people, one asking questions, and one giving answers.
That's because he's picturing himself in all orange, looking out at the sea of orange, hearing Rocky Top, smelling the smoke from the 6th round of fireworks as we just scored TD #6 on Bama, as he then begins to think about what's for dinner.
Soon....(as a newbie this also my first official soon!)
Dish is on a tight timeline to get their spectrum (quantity) of wireless service to the market. The quickest way is on someone else's equipment, then build your own 5g service on your own time or not at all.
If you can partner with someone who has brand familiarity in the wireless world it is easier to sell your service (tv package). ATT/Directv sell TV/internet together but this would be a cell service streaming tv package. This isn't traditional home internet we're talking about..if it is then i completely misunderstand it.
Again, obtaining ESPN and the rights to stream it when you hold the ability to market it is amazing. If the only way to stream ESPN is to say be a T mobile customer (who would be partnered with Ergen) that would probably generate huge revenue.
ESPN needing to reduce costs to make the sale is what Concep alluded to.
So the question, is Gruden the byproduct or the prize? If any of this is true.[/QUO
I can't believe Gruden is a pawn in this. I don't doubt the complexity of big business , but isn't this a stretch?
Is it byproduct or the prize?
Maybe both. Piece of a much larger deal. Its in my mind that its either:
Gruden wants it. Its been in the works. Ergen, Haslam, Peyton, Beaver, who the F ever, has been planning for this. Gruden is completely serious this time because of all the things said here about it. Maybe waiting on this to end on Grudens side. Soon.
Or-This is one big mind ****. A team of professional from colleges get together and buy companies or stock or something- and are bidding against or competing with other schools. They inject Gruden to F us up. So we dont get anyone good.
Polar opposites at this point. Like bipolar.
The longer this goes on the less certain I feel.
Exactly. I'm not saying it's stupid or smart. As a student of human behavior, and having grown up and currently living in Appalachia, I have observed a less than optimal human interface for those who clearly are aware of public opinion and want to live in the community but refuse to address the rumors. He literally hasnt flirted (said anything), so how in the world is that an honor thing? Im all for him, but getting emotionally involved based on internet rumors isnt the fault of Gruden. Then to go in public and bash the man if you see him in a store because you believed someone on a board when he didnt say anything isnt honorable, its stupid. I get that he probably knows we want him, but I just use logic. He literally hasnt flirted as you say, and owes us nothing at this point. Now if hes been saying stuff all this time your thinking could be argued, but hes in no way flirted with our feelings. Our feelings are being flirted with by people saying they know things, not by Gruden himself.
