50/50 chance, Coasty.

Many of us figured Mizzou was going to be the make or break game for Jones and force Currie into a hard decision. I honestly think Jones might have been given another week (the rumor he was offered to end the season) had it been a close game. But a 30 point loss forced Currie's hand in removing him.

Troll-Ole has an easy out in that case. If he's right, he's prophetic. If he's wrong "the situation changed."

He's a troll. I pointed it out a few days ago that he went from "hey guys, what's the latest news?" to "I have a deep dark secret source and will spill info" in a manner of days. He can't and won't explain how suddenly he came into this rich source.
No one's buying it anyway

Gotcha. I’m a field producer for RNT and have been a part of shooting their videos and RNT-V for 15 years now.

What town do you reside? I’m originally from Camden...but live in Colorado now.

I live in Jackson but I hunt with guys based of Obion County.

Why would they wait till then? Wouldn't make much sense to sit on it till then especially with the early signing period now.

TBH When writing this I didn't even think about the early signing period. Makes more sense but I still don't think they will announce till after Vandy.

Yep totally agree. I think he loves UT to much to string us along. He is seriously interested otherwise he would publicly say thanks but no thanks!

:loco:

Soon!

I started to post that this is one line of thinking I disagree with because he did not kill the Grumors in 2012. Then, I remembered he wanted the job in 2012 and Hart killed it because Gurden wanted too much control over the FB program. So, I'm with ya.

Dammit. Gotta tell you the truth, just talked to someone connected to NCAAF in NYC who says Gruden wants to coach college

Boomer is solid and doesn't throw ish against the wall to see what sticks. This is very interesting. :)

Not sure why everyone is impressed at insider status if it's being based off his calling of the fire date.

A broken clock is right twice a day... and he really wasn't going out on a limb with the Sunday after a game prediction. We always fire coaches the sunday after, so jsut Pick a sunday after game you think we were going to lose and you stood a pretty good chance of getting it right.

Has he brought other, proven information ? Tuesday on the other hand... i think he's legit.

And those that said Butch would be fired after the UK were correct. Keep tossing dates out there any you're bound to be right.

IMHO - Gruden within a week. Nothing more than a gut feeling based on what sense I can make from the cumulative total of 33 Gruden threads worth of information. I'm just enjoying the ride.

I am with you on this.. No claims just a more quiet confidence for me every day seeing public stuff confirm what was predicted with a 4 day lag..
Plus our coach is werrrry quiet tonight in tone .....
Proactive energy personal brand machinations we normally see are subdued

The people saying Gruden would not be a good hire because "he's been out of the game for so long" or "hasn't coached college" are just out of their minds. Let's think about this (calling all you negaGrudes):

1. This man has watched more game film from the highest level (NFL) than anyone else in the league. You hear him say time and time again during his MNF broadcasts about how you notice 'x' or 'y' on tape about the teams playing that night. The guy eats, drinks, and sleeps film/football. He knows what it takes to be successful, what works, how to break down a defense/offense, etc. This brings me to point number 2

2. This man consistently studies and breaks-down every major quarterback coming out of college and heading to the draft. He's done this more times in the last few years than I could probably count. Doing all of this, he's been able to see how his "grade" of a player translates to how good they've been in the NFL. So you don't think he knows an elite level player when he sees them? This brings me to point number 3

3. He knows an elite player when he sees one. His name and body of work alone would give him a 95% chance to recruit any player he wanted without even stepping into a living room. "Hey ESPN QB#1, I'm 'xyz', the recruiting coordinator for Tennessee, how would you feel about coming to Knoxville to play for Coach Gruden?" is an instant selling point.

Anyways, just wanted to say SOON

Analogy: If the girls says "no way I'm going I'm going out with you", you move on. If she flirts with you for a month, then smashes your hopes on the the rocks in front of your friends? In small town East-Tennessee there is an honor issue, dig?

He literally hasn’t flirted (said anything), so how in the world is that an honor thing? I’m all for him, but getting emotionally involved based on internet rumors isn’t the fault of Gruden. Then to go in public and bash the man if you see him in a store because you believed someone on a board when he didn’t say anything isn’t honorable, it’s stupid. I get that he probably knows we want him, but I just use logic. He literally hasn’t flirted as you say, and owes us nothing at this point. Now if he’s been saying stuff all this time your thinking could be argued, but he’s in no way “flirted” with our feelings. Our feelings are being flirted with by people saying they know things, not by Gruden himself.
