I would include 97 Bama for the last TN/Bama game at legion field. That was a great night.

What about Tennessee 41, Alabama 14 in 1995

I have to give Basillio a little credit after bashing him last week... he was so against the possibility of Gruden coming to UT he was thinking everyone was nuts... he has 180 turned the corner... got information from various people and places and is on the gruden train now without a doubt.

and you believe everything Basillio reports?

Wasnt kevin Steele the one who got like 70 points run up on him while he was at clemson, and then got fired.. if so.. no thanks, he can stay where he's at..

Yep, he's also the one that just held the #1 team in the country to 17 points, 13 first downs, and 230 total yards.

They average 34 point, 20 first downs, and 424 yards per game.

Don't get me wrong, I'm increasingly convinced it will be Gruden, but something's bothering me that I'm not hearing...

- If we're hearing all of the chatter about people Gruden is contacting, don't you think the current coaches are hearing the same thing....
- If they're hearing it, and aren't being talked to themselves, that would build resentment - enough that someone would be talking to someone and we'd be hearing names of current assistants that are PO'd
- Unless Currie threatened them with something to keep their mouth shut or told them something and made them sign a NDA
- Or this is the most incredibly professional group of assistant coaches that know keeping their mouth shut is their best option to get another job

Maybe I answered my own question, but would appreciate some insight here from anyone who knows how this works with lame duck assistants.

My guess is that they are assistants hoping to keep a job if possible and if not hoping to get the money due to them while trying out for future potential employers. Act crazy and no one is going to hire you.

What position would Gruden play that would make that much of a team performance difference? Heck we had Dobbs last year and lost. We lost games five years in a row we were fired up about. Announcing Gruden as head coach will help recruiting, not going to change Vandy game outcome this year.

Sorry, not Gruden, but now Trey Wallace is implying that Chip Kelly could be the next coach at UF:

Florida has been vetting Chip Kelly & been doing the usual research, getting approval to hire if they wanted to. Stricklin hasn’t had direct contact with Chip, but when they do it could move very fast. #Gators

Yep, and he could have been doing this for weeks for ratings if he had wanted but as he said he didn't want to get his and others hopes up only to be crushed again. Basilio is UT fan first. He had me laughing so damn hard this morning I was shaking with the whole faux homoerotic take on Dale Jones coming home.
