What’d Pete do?

Accused Tennessee of waiting to fire BJ so we would know what sloppy seconds we would be getting from The Gators. You know, because in Pete's words, Tennessee is a second tier program. That There is no way Mullens leaves Miss St. for a place like Tennessee. Other horseshot like that.

Tell that to Michigan fans. He was their savior too. Still hasn't got them to the promised land in a conf that isn't supposed to be as tough as SEC.

Jesus H Christ. Anyone who can't see the massive and immediate improvement in Michigan is just blind, maybe willfully so. HUGE improvement, almost made the playoffs last year and would have if not robbed by refs in Columbus.

As for the Big 10 being soft, just ask Saban a few years ago. His butt is still hurting from the beating Urban gave it.

And let me be clear...the ONLY time I will praise or root for Urban is when he plays Satan. I have to admit I enjoyed that game a great deal. :)

Man I was out like a bo**r in jogging pants all day myself. I spent 2.5 hours catching up on this thread. I gave out a big ol rebel yell when I woke up and saw the news. My wife thought I was crazy. lol[/QUOTE

I sat down in the recliner when I got up and was looking at my phone. I looked over at my wife with I guess a stupid grin on my face, and she said yes honey they fired him you happy?

Hang on a sec...I read an article during the whole Beav thing that was written by Forbes in 97 and about a land purchase that was in bankruptcy. I just went back to reference it and it’s not there anymore (which is really weird), however there is another article that I hadn’t read that sort of rehashes the whole thing. I checked this out during the whole pocket aces thing. Type in Master bluffer Forbes into google and the first one that comes up is the one that is now not there and the second one I briefly scanned from 02. Someone smarter than me tell me if I found something or not.

Thornton and the ranch in Wyoming?

I'm not sure been researching myself trying to figure this out .... I originally thought he was referring to Thomas Rhett who performed this year at the CMA's and is a huge Tennessee fan who I've personally seen on the sidelines a few times. Maybe the MR is a smokescreen because he was afraid we'd figure out who he was talking about?

Matt Ramsey sings for Old Dominion. Is that who OldVol is alluding to. Did they perform at the CMA's? Would Matt Ramsey know UT Boosters?

Scott Van Pelt talking about UT coaching now

Didn’t say anything we don’t already know and talk about here.

I don't know why there is any debate whatsoever as to whether Gruden would be a great hire or not. The only question is...is he coming to UT or not. Can we get him? WILL WE get him? That's the only question.

I'm hanging my hat on his ego! He has sat back and listened to every single sports reporter and so called, expert talk about how Saban is the G.O.A.T.. I think a guy like Gruden looks at that as a challenge. He knows we have the resources and facilities, that if the right coach came in here, Tennessee could go toe to toe with Bama.

I BELIEVE!!

Exactly. If you took the Big 10 East coaches and put them in the SEC the coaching rankings would look like this.

1) Saban
2) Urban
3) D'antoni
4) Franklin
5) Harbaugh
6) Malzahn
7) Smart
8-whatever = hot garbage.

The SEC is not good right now. At all. It's Alabama, some pretenders and a lot of crap.

Pretty sure he was referring to Mitch Rossell who wrote " ask me how I know" for Garth and was born and raised in East Tennessee. Have no clue whose the booster he is tied to is but that's who he was referring to.

Anybody know any good podcasts to listen to? Its a very slow night at work tonight and I really don't want to listen to anymore Basilio.

Everybody wants the Florida job
Nobody wants the Tennessee job
They get a top guy
Tennessee gets another hopeful
Florida has it easy
Nobody wants to stare down Saban
Florida can recruit itself
Tennessee would be like trying to sell a lake house in the Russian winter

I don’t give a crap what this fella says or the pipe he smokes it from. Tennessee is the best there is, was, and ever will be. 🖕Florida and the horse they rode in on.

SEC east has a lot of garbage coaches.
East:
1. Smart
2. garbage

West:
1. Saban
2. Malzahn
3. Mullen
4. Ogre
5. Sumlin
6. Beliema

and the 2nd best coach in the west just boat raced the best coach in the east. Sumlin would do well in the east, Beliema would be better in the east, Mullen would instantly be the best coach in the east. And any good coach in the west can't win anything b/c no one can beat Bama, and even if they do manage to beat Bama they have to survive through all the other west teams b/c Bama is likely running the table.

The SEC east has some of the worst coaching, and the worst teams in CFB. Good hires by UF and UT could change that.
