Did you actually "talk" to someone or are just referencing a post from another site?

There is a big difference is saying "my source told me" and "I read a post on another website and wanted to share".

One implies a whole lot more than the other.

At best it's misleading, at worst its dishonest.

All very true, and the interesting thing is he carries lots of nuggets from here over there as well, but always prefaces them "From VN" etc. But when he brings the OM posts over here he says it's from his "source" or "I was told" such and such. Probably because OM has a lot less traffic and he figures people won't know. Not cool.

It’s not gonna happen. But hey if it makes you feel better just keep on, keeping on. I’ll make sure to check back in on this thread once the head coach at Tennessee has been named. Hint for you........it won’t be a Gruden.

And you look just as stupid as anyone else here for speaking in absolute terms on a subject you know nothing of.

I do and it’s a little crazy. Grown men setting themselves up for colossal disappointment.

No see you don't and that proves it. Notice how most of us have been having fun in here this season? A season that has been the least amount of fun I can ever remember a Tennessee football season being. You know just as little as the next guy here so oist a source or get the **** out.

I think it's crazier for someone to go out of their way to tell people they are crazy.

Plenty of cautious people in here. They usually just try not to be a d*** about it.

Is there anyone here that can detail what went down to bring Majors back to UT as coach? I see a parallel with Gruden because I think it is critical that we hire someone with some true orange blooded ties.

They asked him and he immediately said yes

I know many in here do not believe this... but I want to believe this real bad.... just don't want to live through another crash like 2012
suggest making out a Gruden Will....# 1 on the list....do NOT click on any future Official Gruden threads !
I have no desire for third time is a charm if we are on # 2 !

Oh GV...I make so very very many stupid jokes. It's my favorite thing to do.

Beaver jokes on the other hand...must be limited to the one. No encores.

We've never seen you joke about anything. Beaver or otherwise.

Not that Beaver is a laughing matter. It's quite serious to some.

I think the fact Currie isn't using a search firm is the most telling part of the conference today. I did a little digging to see if he has a history of performing these searches on his own. We know UT has along history of using search firms for all of their big hires.

As it happens, Currie used a search for the men's basketball hire at KState.

Coaching searches — the hot seat for athletic directors | The Wichita Eagle

Some athletic directors pay big money for search firms. The thought is whenever a third party contacts a coach on a school’s behalf, the coach has deniability.

K-State paid Todd Turner and his firm, Collegiate Sports Associates, $40,000 to assist in the hiring of Weber.

So UT has a history of search firms, Currie has a history of search firms, and now they choose to bypass that option?

They already have their man.

Even if you are right, you are being a jerk about it!!!

You could just let people have their opinions and you can have yours.
