Butch was a great transitional coach but got one season too long. The change at AD gave him this season and unfortunately set back a lot of progress he made. It should have been done last year honestly. Everyone knew what was coming although no one thought it would get this bad.

Not trying to be the bearer of bad news, just putting this out. She works for UT in a high level position. Just pulled all MOU's up and nothing from AD, Gruden, Currie, or anything else she searched for. This doesn't mean it's not in works, just not in system. She is checking everyday.

I have only been in a social setting with him a few times but am great friends with people that know him well and I would respectfully disagree.

Good coach fit for UT, not at all. No need to disparage him personally imo

I’ve heard the exact opposite from people who work with him, from players who played for him and from alumni who have met him. While I’ve personally never met him, the data given me is overwhelming that he is not a good person. But need to forgive that and move on. I wish him well wherever he goes.
