That is when attendance crashed and apathy set in. We are now witnessing the same thing in football. I was out and about in Knoxville yesterday and saw absolutely no one wearing orange. The population is becoming apathetic and the AD is going to have to go deep to get any enthusiasm back. Or some people will not be back.

Like the baseball strike.

This is about the time that trolls from the rest of the FF who’ve called Gruden to TN crazy and a pipe dream are going to flood this thread with 1 of a few responses:

1. I was burned last time and didn’t want to get my hopes up again just to be devastated. (You need a purpose in life if the football coach at TN controls your emotions.)

2. I’ve been lurking all along and I believe Gruden is coming! (I’ve lurked in this thread but posted in others agreeing with the majority because I can’t form a belief using my own brain with information provided and logic.)

3. I just want to tell y’all _________ will be our coach. Guarantee it. (I’m trying to be the smartest person in here because I’m not validated at home, on my job or in my community. I literally control nothing in my life and this is my attempt to be relevant.)

So let’s agree to ignore them, not quote them and watch them leave as quick as they came in.

I don’t think you want Majors doing any recruiting period. The stories i have heard straight from the assistant coaches, are hilarious and cringe worthy.

My favorite is how Majors went to the bathroom at Tony Dorset’s house. Was in there while the family and Tony were waiting in the living room. Majors was in there for 45 minutes and stunk up the whole house. Lol.
