Ya I agree with you. When he was confronted on Mike and Mike in 2012, he flat out denied it. This. Time around he said he was keeping his options opened

Exactly and it sounded kinda awkward, like why did you have to ask me that. If there really was no chance, he would be laughing it off. That interview told me he's open to considering any offer thrown at him.

Grudens interview with Rich brought me down to 60% optimism.

It brought you down? Those comments made me feel better about it. Especially his going out of his way to mention that his contract wasn't guaranteed. I found that a little odd, but good odd for us.

It is a done deal. If I'm wrong ban me

You're not wrong. Enough info out already. Some fellow named Agee from around Trenton,(west), Tn. close to some big boosters said it was signed before 10:00 a.m. Thurs. So it could have just as easily happened Wed. night.

The poster in this forum just briefly mentioned it.

Also said how he loves his job and went on about it. Seemed like he didn’t acknowledge the coaching questions because it isn’t really something worth talking about.

If he's hired:
1. UT football is immediately relevant again.
2. All of Volnation will be united.
3. People will be fighting for tickets. (UT will make a ton of money).
4. Chucky dolls will make a comeback.
5. My daughter will be born into the Gruden era.
6. I'll win around $8000 from Betonline.ag. :)

Can you imagine how easy it will be for Gruden to recruit from name alone and add the stadium upgrades on top of it.

That aligns with Basilio's text message on his podcast last night. Is it really happening?

But let’s be real they won’t fire Gruden.

The way they're losing money and shedding payroll, they wouldn't cry too many tears at a "mutual parting of ways" and 'We wish Coach Gruden the best of luck at Tennessee"

(Translation - sshhheeewwww, that just saved us a bundle of $$$$$$$)

Well yeah.

I want Gruden here badly but I take things into perspective...I know on Forums there is a high chance of a lot of lies being tod but you can ,for the most part, separate what has a chance at being real. If not I shrug it off and move on. Until things really start heating up in the media I will always be thinking to myself..there's a chance.

They really could pay someone a lot less than what he's getting paid and probably not skip a beat. I know he's Jon F'n Gruden, but there's other solid talent out there that could fill his shoes for less money. ESPN may be getting away from MNF completely though. He's not going to keep that 6.5 million salary when his contract is up.

Not that I know of. He's mostly full of hot air, but that text last night seemed to have caught him off guard. I think there was something to it.

I thought the same as you but still I never trust him it could've been pre planed...it was his Grumor Friday... Although it looked to me he had a oh s**t face thinking I been making fun of it all day now this, look on his face

I'm at 89.5% and holding it steady there. The reason I won't go to 100% is because certain people will allow Gruden to be the smokescreen while they go after someone else. I don't see it being Mullen or Frost who I'd like other than Gruden so the only two coaches,(worthy), would be Grude or C.Kelly, IMO.
