We are all on this thread to see Tennessee become great again. To me, that isn’t just about seeing massive change at the top but also by helping out your fellow Vol.

I have bought Pappy before. Not for me it was for a friend's 40th and his wife paid me back. These were the prices when I bought it this past summer.

10 - $500
12 - $700
15 - $1500
20 - $2000
23 - $2200
25 - was not for sale. They were selling 100 raffle tickets at $100 each for this bottle.

It was she 12 year old we had. It was good but not $700 a bottle good. I'll stick with Blanton as my top end and Buffalo Trace or Elijah Craig as my everyday.

Plus one for Buffalo Trace and throw in Eagle Rare

This is true. Most Vols fans are great people. In my experience anyways.

How do those compare to the Lagavulin? It's like a velvet hammer on me right now.

Neither is anywhere near as smokey and peaty as the Lagavulin. Macallan is pretty sweet and balanced IMO. the A'bunadh is a cask strength (120 proof), so its really hot, but has a great spice.

All this talk about their favorite bottle got me thirsty so I just poured a glass of Elijah Craig small batch. Nothing expensive but good for the everyday drink.

All three are also sherry-matured whiskies, so you get lots of dark friut flavors. I’m a Glendronach 15 guy myself. Shame they burned through the old stock too quickly for production to keep up.

Blanton's is the best affordable bourbon in the market.
