Pappy can be had for $150 retail. The problem is you will never get it retail unless you have a hookup. $1500 is for secondary market. It is probably one of the most sought after (15 year). I think that is a celebratory drink based on the rarity. Also, it looks like he has been working on it for awhile.

Sounds like I need to call a relative and procure some...

I was lucky to get in early through 360 wine bar on hwy 100. I drank enough at a reasonable price to realize it wasn't worth the lucre one it went through the roof.

Thought somewhat noteworthy that he's drinking a whiskey that has already been mentioned in the Gruden threads at least once.

I think JP is referencing the Holiday Inn address, not Gruden's. Some people act like the house address is out, but I've read almost every post in all of these threads & I haven't seen it (have seen some referenced that I'm pretty sure are NOT sold to the Grudens). I've always been skeptical of this Grumor.
