I know the address. Just not sure it was out there yet. Haven't seen or heard it anywhere else.
Thanks.
If the trucks were coming down I75 heading to Charlotte, there is no good reason to take the north loop westward, hit I40, and go to cedar bluff exit. That's going the wrong way! They could have been to Strawberry Plains in the time it took to get over to Cedar bluff. Nobody thinks Gruden was in either one of the trucks. but something smells of smoke in all of this.
How do those compare to the Lagavulin? It's like a velvet hammer on me right now.As a side note, Beaver - if you're watching....
When this is all over - jet set your way to the west coast - I've got a few bottles we can drink while you tell some stories. I've got a Macallan 18 and a fresh A'bunadh wasting time on my liquor shelf.
It's not Pappy, but it drinks.
I zoomed the picture and didn't see a box of pasta, but if he had a box of dried pasta, Barilla would be a good choice. So, the Pappy bottle is pretty interesting.
I thought for a second that this may have been a google image for the bottle. Went through every google image for a few keywords, and could find no match - I believe that is a legitimate photo taken by the Beav.
As a lover of whiskies, I can tell you that is not ordinary bottle of hooch. All the Pappy's are pricey. The 15 typically retails for around 1300-1600, depending on where you buy it.
Now, not that being wealthy authenticates any information, but it certainly adds context to the Beav's position in the world. What strikes me is that the bottle is sitting right next to what looks like a box of Barilla pasta. Who just sips on that stuff while they whip up some pasta and Prego?

Pappy can be had for $150 retail. The problem is you will never get it retail unless you have a hookup. $1500 is for secondary market. It is probably one of the most sought after (15 year). I think that is a celebratory drink based on the rarity. Also, it looks like he has been working on it for awhile.
