Official "I like Derek Dooley" Thread

I'm undecided. Hopefully he does well.

The 'patience' argument baffles me. If people don't approve of a coach/politician/leader they are unwilling to have patience, they want improvement or answers immediately.

If somebody does approve with a new coach/politician/leader, then patience is the operative word.

Amusing to me.

Dooley will do fine. Dooley needs time to get it back and it will take in the range of 10 years just to have an 8 win season.

The two comments do not mesh. Taking 10 years to get back to an 8 win season is totally unacceptable and is not doing fine.

I liked Kiffin and was on the "Lane Train". Probably bought in way to much. With that said, I am taking more of a wait and see approach with Dooley. I think he has all the credentials and pedigree to be a great coach.

I just scratch my head at some of his comments like: "we still dont know what he have at punt returner right now, we are still trying to fugure it out and trying some different guys back there" Really? nearly 5 games into the season and you and your staff havent figured out who your punt returner is??? comments like that dont sit well with me. I dont know if he is saying we dont have anything at returner or what...surely they would know who the most athletic, fearless, quickest guy is that can field a ball and stick with him.

I like this statement. I'm all for giving CDD a little time. Somewhere in the neighbor hood of 4-5 years. NOT 10
