--- How to 'claim' skulls ---
In order to claim a skull, you first must locate it in the level. You must be playing on normal, heroic or legendary difficulty in order to claim the skull. You must also start the level from the beginning when selecting from the campaign menu. Skulls can be found in coop online/offline, and possibly located in film replays of a level (press Y for free-camera mode). Once you've found the skull simply pick it up as you would a weapon (right shoulder button). Once you've held the skull, it should already be recorded to achievements and campaign options. Now just save/quit.

I'm pretty sure you can.

I held it, ran with it, beat thugs over the head with and still no achievement.

The only thing I can think of is that you are playing on "easy" mode.

I finished the Halo3 coop campaign last night on legendary. It was pretty fun but it was fairly short I thought. The good news is that if you like achievements you will go back and play through again to get all the skulls and then again to try and get the point total achievements for each level.

Yeah, I heard the gameplay was roughly 6 hours for someone well schooled in Halo. That is WAAAY too short. Games should last for about 10 hours in story mode... I understand Crackdown does.

I'm going to start my campaign over on Legendary....didn't know you could get the achievements for normal and heroic as well when you just went through it once for Legendary.

On the Skulls topic, not every Skull has an Achievement. I think only nine if I remember right, there's 13 total.

Throw grenade down in direction you want to go. Run at grenade and jump. hope you get high enough that the blast doesn't kill you but rather sends you higher than normal. Otherwise known as controlled suicide.

There is a gravity jump add on that you can pick up in game now. So you don't need to blow yourself up now:crazy:
