Frost isn't Gruden, but his coaching tree is extremely impressive, and he's been successful every where he has been. His turnaround of UCF in only his 2nd season is nothing short of remarkable, considering they were a winless team the year prior to Frost taking the job.

Was Butch more "qualified?" May be strictly by HC experience. But pretty clear that Frost has been the more impressive of the two, imo.

Frost won a NC, played in NFL 6 years. Butch played trumpet in marching band

Exactly... dont understand all the frost love... to me... he hasnt been coaching long enough to deserve this job.

He's the type of hot up and coming name that we see every season, that NEVER realizes the lofty heights that are expected. Every year....then, nothing.

This may be our last chance, and taking a flyer on a maybe-next-big-thing is unwise IN MY OPINION.

If an announcement comes the week, it would likely be today or tomorrow before the holiday weekend, correct?

it just seems odd to me that...
Gruden or his agent has not put this to rest by saying no...
Currie has not said anything to put this to rest...
everyone in the know is silent....
all this points to
GRUDEN TO THE HILL for me....

I have never believed an announcement comes until the end of the season.... we do know (or it was reported) that Currie told recruits we would have a coach by Dec 20th or a new AD . lol

I'm w ya. Dude was comparing butch to Frost and I've definitely seen all I need of Butch type football. I'm crossing my fingers for a game changer.

don't think Gruden would want it announced until after the season, so as not to interfere with current coaches or their staff. he's big on that, personally. so if this thing does happen, i'd say you could pick between Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday next wee as possibilities. though i'd lean toward Tuesday since there's nothing right now that says he's not going to call the MNF game next week.
