Why does Chip Kelly to Florida rumors seem like it's doable and that their fans aren't crazy to think that, but Gruden to Tennessee rumors get all kinds of negative response from UT fans and media. Florida athletics flew up north to Chip Kelly and they had people watching the airport scene to see if Chip would get off the plane. Sounds familiar. Kind of just like some of our own watching to see if Gruden got off the plane with our power players, but the media had 2 different responses to those situations. Both guys have expressed interest in their respective schools, again 2 different responses. I wonder if the gators forums have similar threads and posts that say "Chip ain't coming to UF". I don't understand how the same situation is taking place here and there and the coverage and response have to different outcomes, Kelly to Florida-positive. Gruden to Tennessee-negative

that is tru3 for the entire search though. Not just Gruden. Hyams thinks we get frost and mullen rumored to interview the day before last game of the season (yea right). Besides that the last big news out of actual media is Gruden. So we wait...

You've gotta wonder: What promoted McDonough to say this? Seems like a convenient soundbite strategically placed to throw us off. It's all about buying time until the announcement at this point.

I alluded to the same last night - I agree. I think it matches up with a lot of the narrative from all sides this week without anyone of significance (Currie, Gruden, Bob Lamonte) specifically stating he is off the table. You just need to bide time for roughly a week to temper the craziness a bit and I think the execution has been largely successful in doing so.
