Ok, so as bad as I want JG to be our new coach, after lurking these threads for a while, I am not convinced we have him.

My biggest hang-up is how do we deal with all of his endorsements? Does anyone have insight into NCAA requirements regarding coaches having endorsements? Do they even care? If they do care, how do they look at coaching hires when candidates have preexisting business relationships (i.e. endorsements) for the candidates?

Then, assuming the NCAA makes no concessions wrt endorsements, how does the University overcome that obstacle?

The good news is that he has an extremely powerful agent whose job it is to handle that stuff for him. And he did. A while ago.

Don't you believe this has been fully well considered and probable addressed way before now. Good grief these folks are smarted than that, sure it could be the reason for a timing issue although I think it is more about coaches. As far as the other stuff, I find it hard to believe that hasn't been addressed for a good while now.:rock: SOON! GRUDEN TO THE HILL!!!!!!

I could be wrong, but my thoughts are how are JG’s endorsements any different than coaches endorsing first Tennessee bank, or a car dealer? So his GMC and Dunkin’ Donuts are ok. Now, corona and hooters I can see the issue.
