I do like the idea of Gillespie staying on. I think over five years he knows what the Power T brand means and let's face it, our RB corps has certainly not been slacking. Add in his recruiting prowess and it's hard to find someone who could fill his shoes.

Ok so in a dream last night the family was on their way to somewhere for thanksgiving. On the trip we were passing by an outdoor concert venue where Garth Brooks was going to be performing the next day. We see a lot of cars in the area & realize that he is doing a sound check & people had stopped by to listen. So we pull in as he is finishing up & he is singing, Ask me how I know. Immediately I think, Mitch Rossell, song writer & TN fan, ask me how I know!
Its a sign...Gruden to the hill.

Because on Brock and Salk, remember when he brought up Rocky Top? At the end he says "Rise to the Top".

He knows that's been one of our team's mantras the past couple seasons.

It's completely random and out of place. Very forced, and 100% a callout to someone, or a sign of some sort. He also pauses before saying it to add more emphasis.

for better or for worse....We have had many E. F. Huttons in many threads the last month and a half, some supposedly sharing facts and some sharing opinions of when something is going to happen. I launched my career in February, 1986....with E F HUTTON! 31 years later I have my own shop. To this day, that moniker, brings big smiles! Regardless of the inference made, you got my day off to a very good start!

Just speculating here... but I think Bubba is close to somone in the PM and/or Fulmer circle. I think Bubba was personally there when the contract was signed on November 15th. He witnessed the contract being signed, then came here and told us that he'd see us in 10 years for the next search. How crazy would it be if Fulmer or Manning was actually Bubba...lol just speculation here.

AV never said that a contract wasn't signed. He said there is a sense of urgency to get this done as quickly as possible. Doesn't mean that the contract wasn't signed, it could just mean getting the timing of the announcement done as quickly as possible. JMO and thinking out loud to try and make some sense out of this.

I want GRUDEN 100% but really don't know if he is coming. What I do think is that if he isn't coming to coach our beloved VOLS he is assisting in this search process to guarantee that we end up with the best possible candidate other than himself. Hope he is our coach SOON, but either way I think it will still be a BOOM hire!!
