That has been a rumored job for him to land at. Hate that for Joey Jones he built that football program from the bottom up.

He did, but he hasn't advanced the program in the last 5 years. The only reason he's lasted this long is because he played for Bear.

So he is one of about 5 people that are in on the search... interesting. Either he is part of the "telling media to downplay Gruden or he doesn't understand the concept of being lied to. Did it not occur to him that if Gruden (or fill in the blank coach for that matter) is to be kept secret that they will not answer him truthfully when asked about particular coach or any other details on search?

He doesn't know anything. The week before Butch was fired he said he would still have a job next season if UT goes 6-6.

I was being sarcastic. The point I was making is that only about 5 people know what 's going on with the coaching search. For him, Heather, or Tyler to be so dogmatic about their opinion is annoying. Unless they are being told to be negative by UT/boosters to so it can be announced when they want. That goes for those putting out positive news too, unless they want it out there or they make a mistake that allows media to find out sooner than they wanted.

:lolabove: haha. Not sure you or I have the credibility to make the impact required. My point was that we've had "controlled leaks" for a while now, so not sure how this would be different. My guess is maybe some credible folks from ESPN/National media get to push the details. I'm skeptical this happens in the next 24 hours (still don't think anything leaks until Friday at the earliest).

Yeah I’m not sure Will West makes any kind of impact on the overall Gruden to UT saga especially since he negated them shortly after...doesnt quantify as a leak if anyone outside of Tennessee doesn’t hear it.

Any idea when it hits national or mainstream news...
