If nothing is announced this week I wonder what the recruits are told on Saturday? With all the uncertainty coming out via the media it just seems like they would have to be told something to give them confidence about coming here.

What if the recruits are the ones that get to leak it. What a recruiting weapon that would be. Making them a part of it, get them wrapped up in the whole excitement of the fans.

So if indeed we do land Gruden, does UT announce it soon and he finishes out the year at MNF? I know the last one is Christmas night, and with the early signing period, I dunno how that would work really. Don’t get me wrong, if letting him finish out this MNF season is part of the deal....have at it. I think they would for sure let it be known that he’s our guy and will be coming SOON! Best case is they announce him either this Friday (or Monday at the latest) and let someone take over at MNF down the back stretch.

Tell the recruits on Saturday, let things leak and stew Sunday/Monday, Gruden shows up with an orange tie on Monday, then do the press conference on Tuesday. Done.
