Am I the only person who has noticed that we are virtually hearing nothing of substance from the media types regarding the coaching search? It appears that pretty much everyone in the media is doing nothing more than pure speculation regarding the prospective candidates who could our next head coach.

Other than our "insiders" (or those with some coaching search info) there really hasn't been any solid information; heck some of the media guys appear to be throwing out names from left field. It looks a lot like 50 beagle pups trying to track a rabbit running in 50 different directions!

Just my observations - I'm on this train for the long haul.

I don’t know but didn’t we hear early on the salary is 7 something with other incentives. Are those planes in the 2-3mil range?

So my first reaction reading that our boosters bought Gruden his own jet was "That's BS", however I did remember something from 2010-11. When Miami was courting him around that time, I specifically remember one of his demands was for the University to buy him his own private jet.

I still believe it's insane to think that we would fork out 15-20m for a jet when he can use any number of booster jets, but it seems he has asked for one in the past.

My father and I were just talking about this.

We both have stopped listening to any of the media since it’s clear no one has anything of substance. It’s a stark difference from previous coach searches and can only be a testament to Currie driving a tight leak proof ship in regards to this search.

Here’s hoping that ship brings Gruden to Rocky Top
