Official Gruden Thread 39

I think it’s safe to say everyone in this my thread wants Gruden. But even Gruden won’t unite an entire fan base, as some won’t be happy with that hire. With that being said, we need to respect each others opinions on who we’d be ok with as an alternative, and to stop bickering amongst each other.

I beg to differ. Some may not be thrilled with Gruden, but they won't desert the fanbase. If it's not Gruden, large numbers of us will not be going to Knoxville on game day. It will be divisive. If it's not Gruden, Saban or Belichick, I'll not be investing my emotional capital in the Vols until they are legitimately competing for at least a conference championship again.

So, what you are saying is that the university would spend roughly 10k dollars (operating cost per hour=$4,215*2.2 hours=$9,273)just to throw us off? It's possible but that is an extraordinary waste of the University's money.

I know this was several pages back, SIAP, but did anyone comment on the 11/09 to 11/10 departure/arrival locations? I don't know where Muscle Shoals, AL is, but 11/11 Mississippi State played Alabama. Now I will say it was played in Starksville, but does anyone know if there would be a closer airport than 2 hours from Starksville? Again, not saying there is anything to this, but it does seem rather odd to me that a UT plane would head to the same general location twice within two weeks of one another. Plus, what is in Muscle Shoals, AL?

TVA has a large presence there.

It seems people cling to everything he says when there are posters right here in front of us, even in this thread, that have more info than him.

He propogates rumors that his clients have offers at various places to generate hype and make other programs think they need to throw money at them to hurry up and grab them before someone else does.
It’s just marketing sales tactics.

Kinda like what happened to Butch. A certain school up north wanted him, it got Tennessee admin and fans in a tizzy thinking we would lose our “wanted” man. Butch then got a negotiated fatter contract with extension that is know kicking us in the nutz.

I would trust him or anything he spreads any more than that chicken salad that’s been outside for the weekend.
