I wouldn't bet on that. I know for me, personally, I live far enough away that I have to fly to games. I usually try to make at least one per year, but skipped this year because of Butch. And, won't be making the trip with any regularity if Coach Google is hired. It just isn't worth the time investment the way things currently stand.

Been going to games for over 30 years, went last night. If the hire is underwhelming it will be a long time before I go back. It brings tears of anger to think such a proud place and fan base have had to deal with ineptness of decisions over the last 15 or so years. The fans have stuck in there and have been rewarded with hires from the sun belt and mac the last 2 times. Ever since they let Phil go until hopefully Currie was hired we have been doing nothing but hiring coaches that can't get it done. You don't have to lose ground to have good graduation rates. It's absurd for us not to have a quality staff with the return UT football brings. I am all in, but I pray they realize that for many thousands of UT fans it's not a idle threat. Everyone is watching UT this time, it's a defining moment, a pivotal moment in the mindset of the universities more valuable asset, the true fans that have stood through UT forever. We swing for the fences and go big, I will be there. I realize nothing is a guarantee, I realize we won't win every game. But I want to see the commitment to compete with the Bama's of the world. Our revenue commitment is there, the fan support is there. The facilities are there. The long standing tradition is there, the only thing that isn't is a quality staff and to this date a administration that is willing to commit to go and get the best. It's obvious who the majority want. I could feel the fans sensing something better is coming and better days are ahead last night. Get it done dadgum it, get it done. The clock is ticking, it's time for Tennessee to step up. SOON! GRUDEN TO THE HILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honest question here, as I am fascinated by human nature and the need to fit in . Do you enjoy all the people kissing your arse or does it make you uncomfortable in the “I’ve got a creepy stalker” sense?

I think we stand to loose a lot of fans. I'm 37 I have never seen a TN team his bad(I know injuries injuries). Older fans passing on, not being replaced because of sustained ineptitude is a real thing. If you think they can trot Mike Bobo (insert your worst nightmare here) out there and not damage the program then you not tapped into reality. Kids born in early 2000s don't remember the UT we all know. I'm not a Gruden or bust guy but they better get this thing right. If FL pulls Kelly and we fail to make the correct hire then it's time to cover seats in the upper deck.

I don't think its sucking up as much as just saying hey its cool we know there's a lot of idiots in here that argue to the bitter end about everything that keeps you from posting a lot. So were not all that way.

For me, nothing sucks more than to make that 2.5 hour flight home after another loss. When I saw the win over Florida last year, I think it was the first time in 15 years I saw Tennessee win. Now, I only come back for the bigger games, but c'mon. That is where this program has fallen.

yeah, I can see that to a certain extent. I also see a lot of arse kissing. I’m afraid that In the overwhelming desire to be accepted/validated people see themselves knocking back scotch on the back 9 w/ CJG and the Beav If they can just say the right things. Just like high school in a way. Just my late night .02, as the news seems to be pretty slow today regarding Gruden to the Hill . I really hope It happens though.

I feel ya, my travel isn't that far but it's about 3 1/2 to 4 hour trip hour trip both ways. I am no where close to a wealthy man either, just a typical working mans salary. I love UT and going to games, that's what is so sad it's that this has been going down this path to long. So many great memories, we have to turn it around. The general would be mad as all get out what has been going on here the last several years. It's got to stop. It has to change, the thought of seeing UT just go the way of mediocre has been is sickening. I refuse to go down without a fight, my fight is too keep believing until it happens. I am hurting for my friends that are hurting too. Nobody wants to abandon UT, but I want to feel the University is fighting as hard as the fan base is. We are truly a sleeping giant that needs to be awaken by any means necessary at this point in time. SOON! GET GRUDEN TO ROCKY TOP!!!!!!!

Man, we are becoming more frequent all over national sports. They are talking about Grumors on ESPN regularly....covering other football games...and they’re not totally laughing at it anymore. This has been building for 5 strong years and here we are, again. Grumors is the most interesting story in college football right now...they just don’t realize it yet. I mean...it’s becoming historical, y’all. It’s morphing. IMO.
