I'm an alum and I love UT football to my core, but if f'ing Bobo, or a coach like Bobo, trots out to the podium......I swear.......

I’m telling ya. It’s like being cheated on by someone you love over and over. After awhile. You hate them...almost. Lolol. Or at least become deeply resentful or apathetic of them. It’s basic human emotions. And after 15 years....if I see MIKE BOBO....trot out to that podium....I’m not going to be able to consciously control how I feel. I can’t make myself love Mike Bobo. I just can’t.

My heart is "FULL GRUDE", but my head is "...hmm... why would he? It's a HUGE risk for him."

The suspense is slowly eating away at my mind, especially during working hours.

If Gruden doesn't happen this time, will we want him the next time?

No. I knew that I would stop being a fan if he declines us as soon as he did that Rocky Top bit on seattle radio. To know a fanbase (which he claims to love) is infatuated with you and do that with no intentions of taking the job is bush league. While the times I have been around him wouldnt lead me to be shocked, I would still be disappointed with him.

As long as a coach with an impressive resume of success comes in,then I will allow him the opportunity to gain my support. If it is Joe Blow from Spokano, then no I will not be supportive. That will indicate that the university is ok with sucking hi d t it in the world of college football.

Even with this couldn't Currie Or Gruden say "no" and not really mean it? Remember how many times Saban said he wasn't coming to Bama until he did?

Negative vs positive. Either could be attributed to some source other than Currie or Gruden.

I saw your response to the other poster. I know that you believe what you believe, and only Currie or Gruden can change your mind. However, getting to the point you are now also required you to listen to someone other than Currie or Gruden.

I truly believe that there is a lot of smoke, and I also therefore believe the fire to be real. I guess if you told me what you actually know and how you actually know it, I might could get to the same place you are.

Ok, I see what you're saying.

I pretty much answered this already though. I absolutely believe that Gruden is signed. And I will not discuss in any further detail how I came by that piece of information.

Someone bump rockytopinSC's post about jobs being on the line.

Can you imagine what his son would endure if this happens to be be the case?

Growing up I caught the end of the Battle era. We were bad and bama started the first streak on us. It was the time of not many games on TV. My friends and I would toss around the football and listen to THE GREAT JOHN WARD.Year after year bama would win till finally I was grown. U.S. Marines 1982 on USS Iwo Jima middle of the Atlantic Ocean 2 a.m. My friends straight from the message center woke me up and gave me a paper message, No.1 Alabama lost to Tennessee 35-28. I was elated, how long I had waited for that, carried that that paper around at all times. When I went home on leave my Dad gave me a present, cassette tape of the John Ward broadcast of the game. Went to my backyard, got my old football tossed it in air listened.I was transformed back into my youth, but this time TENNESSEE WON ! Better than that a lot of those same guys and myself watched together as we put two win streaks on bama,5 SEC Titles, Peyton and a National Championship. Hang together my fellow Vols we will be back and with the right coach sooonn!

82 Alabama game....I can still see Chuck Coleman taking a draw play from around the twenty or thirty to the south end zone for the final td

I'm not talking about competence. I'm talking about cynical manipulation of the fan base.

Eh, as I’ve always said, information is power and has a high value. If you’re getting it with no skin in the game, you’re very likely the product and not the intended consumer.

Let's get a quick idea how broad we are Volnation and how loud our celebration will be heard around the world when Gruden is announced. Post your county or city.
