I'm worried 'bout how much time I'm gonna get after I give him thumbs up for these two parties he talked about Fri. night and comes in here tonight doing a 180 and you talking 'bout pulling levers. You gonna pull one too many and it's gonna go KABOOOM!!!

Home and sort of caught up. I skipped a few pages, but it looked like several people were saying what I'm going to.

MIT's tweets seem pretty self-explanatory as a statement of his motive. Whether you believe those statements is up to you, but I don't take them as having anything to do with the hire itself.

I don't have a "narrative," I have a single plot point. I simply believe it to be the critical plot point. And I've been stating it for 120 hours now, not 24. :)

Still literally nothing has changed, therefore people have too much time to imagine their own narratives. Those that tend to believe that JG is not coming and never would, go waaaay down that path and attack those that believe. Those that kinda a believe he might come here and constantly need some kind of assurance, start to doubt everything about it and attack those that believe. And those that believe he is coming really just hang out for the fun of it until the announcement and defend themselves.

So it appears it's business as usual...

OK, Knuck did not see my post, so I will just go ahead and say it.

95% sure the Beav is FOS. I have heard this from other folks in the VC world, the type of info he gives out and very big money boosters, just not of UT. All of them said he would be fired in an instance if info that sensitive would ever be released.

And his use of "We" is very suspect, like he is actually part of the negotiations. Again see above why folks involved don't really do that.

These same folks stated that VC's wouldn't really get involved in athletics that much, not enough return, and surely wouldn't be so involved on the college level, unless the head of the VC was a crazy booster. Also that Ergen was not associated at a high level with the MIT group. They said if he was involved at all it would be from a very low level, sideline stance and wouldn't involve sports at all on an amateur level.

That this for what is worth, I am not trying to burst anyones bubble. One of the folks that told me this I literally trust with my life as he and his wife are my daughters god parents. He runs in the same circles as Ergen if you know what I mean.

I am not saying that Gruden is not happening, but trusting the beav, I am not sure that is a good thing.

That being said if the beav would like to contact me I would be more than happy to discuss this or even put him in touch with my friend (who also went to UT, but transferred to Vandy to graduate).

I really want Gruden as much as anyone, but I am getting pissed about being played for a sucker.

This place is a never-ending court case. If it has been litigated, vindicated or proven culpable, who cares, let's rehash it again.... and again...and again....

The email that is circulating about the fund raising opportunity may or may not be real. It may not matter that it is out there if it is indeed real. However the name that is being associated with it is real and he works in fund raising for us. He is a damn good guy with a family and a job to take care of. He is not John or a big money booster and could be adversely impacted if he were to be seen as a leak of any type. I know many of you think it is fun to play PI but please do not be the one who names someone and gets them marked. I have said multiple times members of the AD are on this board. One of them has been posting in this thread. Consider the unintended consequence of posting any names of people that are working for a living. Please bump this to make sure it gets read.
