beaver is a Scarabbean that is not fulfilling his duty to his school :( guess you don’t control everything behind the scenes. Maybe you can do better in the Basketball coaching search in a couple years.

I don't ever post here but figured I'd share the only tidbit of "info" since it kind of relates to this particular subject.

I have a friend in the "business" who has become decently close with Mullen and travels each year to Starkville for a game and stays at Dan's house.

His text to me last night was "Sexton controls the Tennessee Job"

I mean you could argue that he is just as suited or more familiar with recruiting, college football and the structures with in as Gruden or anyone. If we are worried about him being tutored by a head coach for a number of years make Phil an associate head coach in charge of football operations. JUST as believable as any other claim...

Beaver is 100% troll without a question. Whoever is driving his online persona can’t be over 28 years old. Read through his comments, check out the tweets, comical that he has survived this long without being snubbed. I refuse to place his intel in front of a handful of others here. Buddy gets off on the attention it’s clear.

This is the same guy who 3-4 weeks ago said the deal with Gruden was done. From lurking and occasionally posting, it's obvious that Beaver is just really good at reading the mood along with other news tidbits, then he waits awhile and posts cryptic things like he's in the know. He's not in the know and never really has been. And those of you saying he's predicted things that have happened, name one thing he's predicted that's come true? Hell, he said 2 weeks ago "big news coming in about a week or 2". Okay, where's the news? Then the other day he claimed there was this huge meeting, coincidentally a few hours after every one else was talking about it, and made this claim like it was a done deal. Now he's acting like it isn't. Everyone just chill. Beaver isn't in the know...

I don't think AV has a skybox. He goes to the skyboxes to conduct business when he needs to. If you have one you need to be there to entertain your guests and you do not want to waste the tickets because they are expensive in addition to the yearly rent which is mind blowing and UT would frown on empty boxes.

He and I have discussed how ridiculous it is that the people with money and power stampede to get the cheap ice cream bars they have on every level of boxes in a freezer. Think any $1 ice cream you can get at Wiegles. By the end of the game, the freezers are empty and they will push and shove to get to them. I even have a funny story about Gus Manning falling in while trying to reach the last bars in the bottom (Gus is relatively small in stature) AV even said that last year Jimmy Cheek jumped in front of him to get ice cream (AV is not a Jimmy Cheek fan).

As to the email, Gate 14a is the Press entrance do you really think they want a supersecret signing with the press there?

Gruden was in Seattle.

Deal done or not, who knows? Both sides have valid points. All we can do is wait. Even if Currie makes his best run, and I believe he has, the "best-laid plans of mice and men..." and all that.

I will remain cautiously optimistic.

I figure ole miss might go for butch. Runs clean program, going to be sanctioned, can recruit. He would be a good three or four year stop gap till they get out of trouble
