"Agreed. However in this type of negotation the potential employee holds the cards...not the employer. So if that employee wants x...he will get x or more because he knows that employer wants said employee.

In my world (business not personal) if i want something...I will pay for it...regardless if it is overvalued at the time or not...if the expected long term value could be more beneficial than price paid for said services."

I hope everyone who was able to go to game yesterday enjoyed the experience as much as possible. I was bummed that the weather sucked....first time in box for entire game for me in a long time.

I am around a bit today relaxing preparing to turn and burn for the holiday week...I wish each and everyone of you and your families a wonderful thanksgiving holiday. Take time to hug your wife, kids, and parents if they are still around. That’s what its all about.

No signal just wanted to get somethings out there to help people save their gas money trying to drive out to Tac Air to catch a glimpse of something....

There is a clear plan and a clear plan beyond that first plan all of which I am comfortable with...all won’t be but we know what they say about opinions.

point 6. No riddles . Money not an issue. If it were that easy we would have someone already... which in my opinion means he hasn’t signed yet. I think being around family for thanksgiving and really having a heart to heart with family will be the deciding factor.

A "deal" has many parts to it. It's not just 'yes I'll coach' or 'no I won't. Only AV knows what he meant. You can take it either way.......hence the roller coaster effect.

Replying does not equal trolling. I read his post and replied. I hope he's right and there is an announcement soon but the way he's representing it is that the announcement date is set for today or tomorrow and would need some outside influence to change it. Imo, the announcement won't be set until all influences are dealt with beforehand

Good post Finger. He is referring to negotiations, in my opinion, not a timeline for announcement. Pretty clear unless you are trying too hard.

I find it telling with how there are certain burst of grumors that occur, then silence for a period of time. This has to be the most calculated, tight-lipped coaching search I’ve ever seen. My admiration for Currie steadily increases with each ploy, smokescreen, and deliberate release of grumors that come about. I have faith in him and the AD. Gruden to the Hill!

Didn't say that. Just said they had concerns about him wanting to bring his current staff and not wanting to hire a true SEC staff. He wouldn't win at UF with the Coach's he has right now.But supposedly both sides have cooled, Frost in particular.

I'm glad you brought this up as it gave me pause and made me look at it from a different perspective.

- Your average grudenite reading this thread reads this as you read it. "Done" is in reference to putting ink on paper.

-Someone who knows ink is on paper reads (or writes) "done" meaning the announcement.

Both read it clearly one way or the other.
