I guess that’s the result of Freak telling the haters to stop coming into the Gruden thread and starting arguments. Probably a passive aggressive thing.

I don’t believe Gruden hype would lessen the desire to coach here. I live in Georgia now and a lot of people were against Smart until he started winning. Same rules apply. If we hire Frost and he has us sitting where the dogs are in two years, he would have 100% support! Any coach on our list knows that, so I can’t see where a grown man would be in his feelings about not being the guy everyone wanted on day one. That being said, I really hope Gruden is the man doing the aforementioned winning!!

His most recent post, however, seems to signify, however, the bad news since, in it, he suggests that the deal is not done adding that the AD can't force Gruden's hand.

A "sitting SEC coach" could mean an assistant coach such as Pruitt at Bama. Just sayin....

I think the Dodd (CBS) report on Friday was directly from the AD. It is by far the most intriguing article that has come out since all this has started.

Well, it’s been fun ride the past 5-6 weeks and even 5 years. I’m nobody in here but have been a part of the Gruden mania since Gruden II. That being said, I’ve allowed this to consume too much of my time and brain power, and at the end of the day, it’s hiring a football coach not choosing a career or what to name your baby. I’ve been grouchy at times and rude at times and for that, I apologize. I’ve enjoyed getting to “know” y’all but I’m retreating back into my real life. Lol. I found myself looking down at my phone during church this am and that’s just not right. The Lord deserves my very best and this isn’t it. I’ll still be reading, following and believing that it’s Gruden till it ain’t and will celebrate with y’all when it happens. But until then, y’all have a great Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!

of course the intent here is to be positive and reassuring -- but for most Vol fans it will only be added frustration.
