What happens, at least on your first banning, is that you get some weird message whenever you try to post about there being a problem with your email. Says nothing about banning, nor do you get an email. You really don't even know you're banned, unless you put 2 and 2 together.

(I know this cause it happened to me after posting a pic with a F bomb in it).

You still stay logged in, can read the boards, etc. You can even like posts. You just can't post.

Ah ha!

Enough of this charade

What charade bud. I've never tried to act like I'm some important insider and pretty much everyone on here knows I enjoy having a good time in here. I do know 4 people who are either connected in some way to the program. I don't get on here with a hey look at me attitude and if it is coming across that way I do apologize. 2 of the people I know played under Fulmer and one grew up right down the street from me. One just recently retired from UT back in the early part of the year and oh he happens to be family. The other works on Knoxville radio. I'm just a fan Man been one since I was 4 yrs old. I here lots of things and don't say a word and the only reason I did this time is because some here where having a bad day at the time and I was just trying to help cheer them up. I'm sorry if I've made myself out to be something I'm not but I just love the vols and love interacting with people on here. I have some pretty good friends on this board I grew up with and some I even played ball with in HS. All of them can vouch for me and tell you I may might tell you a booger tail and have a good time but I don't intentionally try and brag or spread false info

Do we want a coach who is afraid of the challenge, at 10mil a year he better ****ing not be scared of ****. And to answer someone else’s question when I related this to wasting time on a girl that doesn’t want you or has to “mull it over” I’d drop that **** like a boulder and date Norvell if he’s good looking and wants me! Lol

Just no. The “we should settle” argument isn’t compelling or inspiring.

Let's see here...

There we go

Hey, like I said, I understand anyone and everyone’s skepticism.

Let’s pretend there is 0 information and you only have your computer to do research. If you looked at the 2012 search and compared it to 2017 the situation looks much more promising. Espn was dominating and could afford to pay gruden his large salary. Fast forward to today and they can not. They are about to lay off and cut salaries of another 100 employees. Troy aikman makes 1.5 million for Fox. ESPN is looking at dropping MNF in these near future. They are losing close to 70 million per Monday night. Disney is worth billions but if something like this continues then what rational person wouldn’t pull the plug?

Hargis and Brice would not be sticking their neck out after the embarrassment of 2012. It makes me feel even more confident. I don’t think they would approach this unless they thought it is or is really close to happening. Reputation matters.

Our financial situation was horrid in 2012. We needed help with dooleys buyout. What a disaster that was. We were the most profitable SEC program last year. That was reported on ESPN. We netted around 100 million.

Why would boosters be supporting a push for close to 350 million dollars in renovations and athletic upgrades? The answer is they know UT football is about to be back. I know a few of the chattanooga boosters have already upped their contributions or pledged to once this hire is complete.

Look at the attendance at the LSU game. Even with one of the worst teams in vol history and sitting through that hurricane we had over 90,000 fans in Neyland. What recruit wouldn’t want to be in that environment with that type of loyalty. If gruden comes he’d be the hero. Just like Saban. He would become a legend and cement his legacy as a super bowl winner and potentially seen as the man who brought back UT football.

His wife wants to move back home. That isn’t rumor. They bought a house in Knoxville. That’s not a rumor. His kid goes to UT. That’s not a rumor. None of this was true in 2012. Crazy how much changes so quick in life.

These are some of the key points I come back to when I have moments of doubt. This information could be gathered by anyone on this forum. No insider info or connections needed.

What about utvolinexile?

Present! :)

Lots of catch-up, but I think I'm there.

Where's knuck? Haven't seen him since before the Calhouns stuff. Do we need to put him on a milk carton?

Atlanta Vol: guys, I'm super flattered that people are putting me in the same sentence with AV, but please don't. He's a true insider. I am not. About what he said, as usual everyone has their interpretation. Here's my own.

1. Don't track planes. The clearest thing he said. Easy peasy.

2. Implication that the delay in an announcement is due to the employee, not employer. I do NOT take this as evidence of lack of a deal. Lots of reasons for Gruden to want to announce later rather than sooner have been discussed. AV simply says ball is in coach's court.

3. There's a plan A and a plan B. But plans for what? Hiring a coach? Announcing a coach? Taking a dump? I've heard Russians have a plan for that. AV does not clarify what the plans are for. So let's not read into that.

AV's comments make me feel less certain of an announcement today, but as I said yesterday, reasonable people have different opinions on announcing. I thought yesterday (and still do) that an announcement today makes sense, but nobody at UT asked for my opinion. It could be that Currie is in control of when to announce, or it could be Gruden is. I think it would be reasonable to infer from AV's comment that Gruden is the person with the deciding vote on timing of announcement.
