No I like to hear all sides: the believers, the nonbelievers who bring a decent argument, and the worthless azz hats just picking efights like a tough guy behind the Safe space computer screen.
Keeps me grounded.
Guess which category you are in

The believers. Because everyone on here is in a safe space. So it can’t be that one.

Oh it was...I lived off of the Mary Esther cutoff before I moved there. I worked mids when I moved to Navarre and fell asleep in my car at the stoplight in front of Hurbie one time. Miss northwest Florida though...

They actually built an overpass where that light used to be. It has helped traffic, but it still only takes a fender bender to initiate gridlock.

What

This. They weren’t his personal seats. When we talked last night about the UPS mix up, he said he was going to call some people. Then he said the AD had us covered. Boy, did they ever.

I just have to share what this night was like.

We get there, pick up up the tickets and go through the gate, and there’s greeters putting arm bands on us. I look at my husband, all bewildered and he says, “Whoa”. We’ve never been to a UT football game and needed arm bands.

They usher us to the elevators and we step out to this awesome lobby. My girls were like, “Whoa”. There’s a Calhoun’s booth set up slicing off brisket. There’s a panini booth in the other corner. TV’s everywhere with tables and chairs. It looks like a swanky club and I guarantee our faces looked like we didn’t belong. There were even greeters in the bathroom!

We get to our seats and they are perfect, Section F, right on the 50 yard line. My girls faces when they saw the enormity of Neyland is something I’ll never forget. The jets flying over, the band, they were amazed by everything.

AtlantaVol, my girls said to tell you “Thank you”. They said they had the best time ever and can’t wait to go back. My husband and I can’t thank you enough.

Rain or no rain, this was a night to remember.

Quit cutting those onions!!

Atlanta Vol is the real deal. I have watched him for years give to plenty of gofundme or charities. Not sure if you got to talk to him past email but I would guess the seats you got were some of his extras. Sure he has more than allotted for family. He has a plane he loans to UT.

With all that said, he's as normal as you and me. A real top notch human being I'm proud that is a Vol fan.

AV you da real MVP! Man what a legend you are and a class act! Is there actual proof that AV vouched for Beaver and Bubba? I hear people throw that around, but I never saw their interaction.

Anyways that made my night seeing a family impacted with a night they'll always remember. Like I said AV, you're a legend!

Maybe... but that is the first reference I’ve heard of a buyout on Gruden’s contract with ESPN. With all the cuts they are making, I’m sure they would gladly let him out of it early.

Oh sure, I agree, but I thought you were challenging the Check into Cash reference, rather than someone/ anyone needing to cover a buyout.

I misread, I'm sure. :hi:

I can’t tell you how much this touched me. It’s uplifting to hear stories like this. Thank you so much for sharing this experience with us.

Alan Jones is a major booster. The aquatic center has his name on it I believe. He basically owns the Cleveland Tn airport. Gruden could fly in there and drive to UTK campus in an hour and 20 min.

Fulmer's downfall was listening to the fanbase wanting a spread offense and hiring Dave Clawson, which the fan base wildly applauded ("the Clawfense"). When Clawson couldn't get the offense implemented in one season, they turned on him and Fulmer and things imploded. Clawson has been successful everywhere else he has coached, but it takes him 2 yrs. to get his offensive scheme rolling.

he also had recruited some really good quarterbacks with Tahj Boyd and Bryce Petty.

Last question from me. What I’m your mind, would change the announcement timing tomorrow?

Ask whatever questions you want, we aren't on a quota here. :)

I said that I THINK an announcement would come tomorrow. I did not say it WOULD. See my exchange with 92, who thinks it happens after Vandy. Reasonable minds can disagree on timing of the announcement. Lots of things could change the timing. Heck, as far as I know, Currie could have read my post and said "that jackass thinks it could happen tomorrow, I'll show him!" :)

I think the performance tonight was the current staff's chance to prove themselves for potential employers. We all saw how it looked. I don't think respect for their job prospects extends beyond tonight.

I've heard some things that make me think tomorrow is likely, but nothing firm enough for me to say "yep, it's happening tomorrow absolutely."
