Official Gruden Thread 38

We lost a game we weren't supposed to win and now we apparently suck so bad Gruden won't want to come. Even though I'm pretty sure we've sucked this bad all season long. So yea, like you, I don't really get it. Just a bummed out night I believe. We're just all tired of losing. All that stuff.

And Gruden thought he'd be walking into a great situation before tonight's result.

Anyone seen this image? Or familiar with this individual? I received it via text earlier and hadn't seen it on here. (Totally could have just missed it though.) Didn't want people thinking I was trolling so I hesitated posting it earlier.

Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet

The check into cash reference killed it... (not that it seemed very legit to begin with)

I hate our fans after a loss. These kids don't owe any of you anything. They've not been coach or taught how to win, they haven't been hitting in practice, they haven't played 7 on 7 since BJ got here.

This collection of young men have been given the sh*t end of the stick. Lay off.

Nope. Atlanta Vol is the connection. When he picks up the phone people listen.

This. They weren’t his personal seats. When we talked last night about the UPS mix up, he said he was going to call some people. Then he said the AD had us covered. Boy, did they ever.

I just have to share what this night was like.

We get there, pick up up the tickets and go through the gate, and there’s greeters putting arm bands on us. I look at my husband, all bewildered and he says, “Whoa”. We’ve never been to a UT football game and needed arm bands.

They usher us to the elevators and we step out to this awesome lobby. My girls were like, “Whoa”. There’s a Calhoun’s booth set up slicing off brisket. There’s a panini booth in the other corner. TV’s everywhere with tables and chairs. It looks like a swanky club and I guarantee our faces looked like we didn’t belong. There were even greeters in the bathroom!

We get to our seats and they are perfect, Section F, right on the 50 yard line. My girls faces when they saw the enormity of Neyland is something I’ll never forget. The jets flying over, the band, they were amazed by everything.

AtlantaVol, my girls said to tell you “Thank you”. They said they had the best time ever and can’t wait to go back. My husband and I can’t thank you enough.

Rain or no rain, this was a night to remember.

Most miserable season I have ever experienced in 50 years of watching the Vols.

I coach soccer, trust me the game is far more entertaining than people are willing to give it credit for. I'd choose a Premier League over a non-UT football game any day of the week.

I think playing/coaching really opens up understanding the game to appreciation. I played from elementary to high school, and would still understand not getting it at first.

Don't know who that is but the check into cash guy is from cleveland tn and is a multimillionaire if not billionaire
I will see what info I can find about this. All I'm going to say is that I have some prettttty good connections to Allan Jones, and I've sat in his courtside seats for basketball games before. I'll get to the bottom of this

That must have been a long drive, I'm at Hurby and it's bad enough just going 8 miles.

Oh it was...I lived off of the Mary Esther cutoff before I moved there. I worked mids when I moved to Navarre and fell asleep in my car at the stoplight in front of Hurbie one time. Miss northwest Florida though...
