Sounds like someone from the University called and told them to squash it. The unnecessary reference to their relationship with the University gives that way.

Unless there is a picture of him wearing that shirt with Gruden, it doesn’t really mean anything. He has a reason to be in town. They are honoring the 97 SEC Championship team (his senior year). They may have all got together at Calhouns before the game.
