If it’s Heupel all we can do is wait and see how he does but most agree it’s a low excitement hire. White will be defined by this hire whether he likes it or not.

Fortunately for him it appears the fan base has enough excuse makers to swallow whatever happens.
What can you really do though? I wanted a P5 guy too, but all indications are we backed up the Brinks truck and still couldn’t get anyone to bite.

Hopefully the AD deletes all of his social media accounts and stays off the internet for a few years because there is no way he isn’t going to see negativity from this fan base.

Heupel’s time at UCF did nothing to dent his reputation as a good offensive coach. Despite those quarterback injuries, the Knights finished fifth, second and second nationally in total offense in Heupel’s three seasons. Tennessee wanted to spark its offense with this hire, and those numbers suggest the Vols gave themselves a good chance to do that — especially if Ole Miss offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby comes with Heupel to Knoxville, and some around the program have suggested. Y’all wanted an experienced HC-check, y’all wanted big Offense-check. Quit your bitchin’

If your finding today rather depressing here's the place to cuss and complain.
Maybe you should wait and see how he does first? Not my first choice, but he checks the boxes we asked for:

-28-8 as HC 78% winning pct with half those losses coming during this COVID year
- no serious violations/NCAA issues
- great offensive coach
-HC experience and experience as a coordinator in p5 conferences

He's not Gruden but let's see how he does before we go with the typical "Fahr him" BS

So disappointed in White. He’s just another slick snake oil salesman playing UT for $$$&

I think it's more of an indictment of the condition of our program at the moment as opposed to DW. We nuked ourselves with that idiotic admission to guilt in a public press conference

Apparently his skill set doesn’t include Jedi mind tricking people into taking over an awful situation.

Then there was/is no point in making him the highest-paid AD in the SEC. Rock-star money, meh results.
