Checked the hourly forecast before I left out at 530pm...0% chance of rain any hour today.
Got caught in a gullywasher 30mins mostly interstate ride from home....at dark. Just got in and soaked. Nightmare. Was riding 45 to 50mph on 485 where the speed limit is 70...without hazard lights in the right lane praying nobody would run over me and I wouldn't run into a flooded stretch and hydroplane. Thankful to be home safe
TN-2026-01, April 3, 2026 — The IRS announced today tax relief for individuals and businesses in Tennessee affected by Winter Storm Fern that began on Jan. 22, 2026.
Lost this little pin and retaining clip from 1 of my passenger foot pegs in the deluge Saturday night apparently. Top photo is the intact version on the opposite side foot peg, my gloved finger is touching the pivot pin:
Went to Advance but they didnt have the peg or the little E clip that retains it on the bottom side. Went to Lowes and found a pin thats the right diameter, but a little too long. It takes a cotter pin style clip though...instead of the flat, disc shaped E clip like the factory part. It works to retain my peg, but it isn't tight so the passenger peg flops down instead of staying up in the "stowed" vertical position like its designed to. Guess I am gonna have to order the correct part from Triumph. The exact same setup holds all 4 foot pegs, guess I will order 2 of them in case this happens again elsewhere...bottom photo is the short term fix. If anyone has a better idea then please share some knowledge. The dealer is closed on Mondays like every other bike shop sadly.
