Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

Miami (OH) just lost it's first game of the season in the conference quarterfinal game to a horrific 17-15 UMass team that had a 7-11 record in the MAC Conference.

Yikes!

Glad to see him have such a great performance after a break.

Not to be tickytack but the goose egg he had at the charity strip to potentially put the game away was troubling.
He’s around 80-85% at the stripe so I was surprised at the late-game misses after he has sunk 8 straight. He was probably running on fumes at that point.

Get outta here. LBJ is a top 3 and you don't know basketball if you think otherwise.

He is over 40 and capable of a 30 point triple double. Lick a hot skillet to wake yourself out of delusion.
What does ANY of that have to do with the fact that Lebron is an egregious flopper? Are you seriously going to deny that Lebron flops?

I'll spoil it because I'm on my laptop.

I love Marcus Smart. He was so fun to watch in college and I think he is an S-tier "bang for your buck/guy you want on your team" player but, yeah. This list is a joke.

Look at who they play. Those stats mean nothing.

I will school you guys on NBA all damn day.

It does mean something, the best Lakers lineups have LBJ on the bench in 2026....

Points scored per 100 possesions

AR and Luka (no LBJ) 127.2
Luka and LBJ (no AR) 117.5
LBJ and AR 117.1
All 3 of them 111.6

Defensive points given up per 100

Luka and LBJ 121.4 (no Reeves)
LBJ and Reeves 121.3 (no Luka)
Luka and AR. 108.0 (no LBJ)
All 3 of them 121.4

All of these lineups have hundreds of minutes so its not a tiny number skewing it...

This has been a year of JJR figuring out implementations of this roster. The sample size is too small. It is si disgustingly top heavy.

It is game 7 in the finals. I want you to tell me, if you were coach, what lineup you put in a tied game with 3 minutes left.

Clearly LBJ since I expect defensive effort from him in the playoffs..

But right now, LeBron and Luka are too similar offensively with their game and the Lakers need multiple defenders besides Luka and Reeves. 42 year old LeBron is barely defending in the regular season....
