Allowed my daughter to go see the pg13 newest Superman movie in the theater. I am watching it for the 1st time tonight on HBO. It is an embarrassment. In so many ways. In every way. Its also littered with 4 letter words. It is so incredibly bad. So "modern california Hollywood in every way" bad. Nothing matches historical Superman. Not his parents. Not his powers. Not the way Kryptonite affects him. The actors are all B grade or unknowns...the story is convoluted and dumb...Lois lane isnt nearly as attractive as other movies. They managed to get everything wrong.

Watch "Man of Steel" or " Batman vs Superman" with Henry Caville as Superman. Those movies are very well made, linear, accurate, really good movies. The new Superman is not just bad it is terrible. Superman has a stupid Superdog that doesnt even listen lol. Its computer generated they didnt even use a real dog. Hahaha. This is soooo bad

Studios keep dumping Cavill and immediately tanking concepts after doing so.

It's the kiss of death. The guy is king of the nerds and will do any role justice because he loves the characters, but directors/producers can't stand how he wants to stay true to source material. It's so stupid.

The last 10 years or so have seen such an emphasis on expanding viewership/participation that they lose site of what made the concept good to begin with.

He is a great actor. Excited for the new/last? season of the Witcher next month with ole Henry. I am an 80s kid. Henry is so good that he is Superman to me, not the actors who played him previously before or in my youth. The Man of Steel and Batman vs Superman movies are so much better than any other Superman movie that it seems unfair to even compare them honestly. They got everything right in those movies and spent the money on great actors. The guy who plays General Zod was 1 of the actors that carried the show on Boardwalk Empire. Hes a great actor, and his battle with Superman is perfection. Incredible special effects that still look amazing and are bound by actual Physics (theres a shockwave every time they collide at high speed for example, which shatters windows and craters pavement etc. So cool) it seems like they spent more money on special effects for the 2 good movies than was spent on the entire new movie. Those older movies are so much better that the director/producers/studio who did this bullcrap new movie should be ashamed of themselves whether they are or not. The actors did the best they could, I get that. They are newer people and relatively unknown so just looking to make a name for themselves. It is so bad though 😆 probably why it never went to streaming. Straight to HBO....

Not hardly. Lebby took a team that hasn’t had a top 25 recruiting class in forever and took Hype who has consistently recruited in the top 15 to the wire, not to mention it took not 1 but 2 scores from the defense to get the win. Clock management was atrocious as well, was damn lucky to get the W.

I think “out coached “ is some **** stupid people say that can’t intelligently discuss the game.
I was just taking a shot at Hogg for being a negative Ned.

That was a great, gutsy call he made to go deep to Staley for the win near the end of regulation. The MSU Dback just made a play and got his hand in there at both players apex to keep the ball from making it into Staleys 2 waiting hands a foot or two away. Great throw by Joey too. He had a few inaccurate balls but he hits the deep balls better than short throws most of the time. He had ~330 yards again passing. If the refs didnt rob us/Brazzell then Joey has 400 yards and a couple TDs.

I think CJH overall coached a good game and people didn't do their jobs. Dropped TDs, fumbles etc. I think Hypes clock management was crap twice on that last drive though. It happens even to good coaches sometimes.

Still stoked about that Goal Line Stand. Never saw that coming with their RBs. We dominated overtime despite losing the coin toss...which is rare.

It’s also a game between best friends which helps with motivation.
It was an ugly win which I’ll take all dot over a pretty loss.

Yep, in the end a W is a W and always better than an L. I’d settle for 10 more this season just like it if I had to, but I’d much rather not. I’m too damn old for nail biters.

I was too hard on Staley yesterday myself.

True, he leads the team in dropped passes by several. He had a terrible game yest with 4 drops in crucial situations and a fumbled punt. He also caught that ball on 3rd and long on our last drive to tie and TRUCKED that DB to get past the down marker. Grown man play right there.

I was really high on Staley out of HS because he has elite quickness and good SEC speed. He didnt play last year like Matthews though and is really a freshman playing his 1st year and it shows. His hands have been really bad. He can be a star player in this offense though if he can just catch the ball. He needs to get it together because the 4 new WRs we have coming in next year are ALL Mike Matthews level except Keys who is ranked even higher than MM at #1 overall. Talent wise the other 3 are all really good though. As good as anyone not named Brazzell on our roster right now. Staley needs to come on strong in this 2nd half of the season or he gets passed up next year IMO or at least splits snaps. We HAVE to get production from the Slot WR in this offense to be our best. That position group needs to catch 100yds and a TD every game ideally, with breakout games as well. Its a featured part of the offense. If Staley doesnt produce there then someone else will. He has looked like Nimrod did last year with stone hands. If he doesn't do better then someone else will. Hope he gets it together. He is just a redshirt freshman though, and i was too hard on him yesterday. I get too riled up sometimes during games...

Nah man. Henry left the show becsuse they screwed up the source material. Liam Hemsworth is playing Geralt now.

Seriously? Wow. Hope it doesn't suck. That was a mistake on the studios part IMO. Respect the fact that Henry doesn't want to be a part of projects when they decide to leave source material. Would you want to be the star of the worst Star Wars movies ? Or want to be Superman in the new movie? Not if I was already a rich man like him and didnt need the money badly. Sadly even the Marvel movies are getting bad these days. The Xmen and Wolverine movies were good. They have put out some real crap lately though IMO. DC doesnt have a bunch of good characters like Marvel. They have Superman, Batman, and then it goes downhill rapidly.

You know there were massive nerd orgasms when they had him cameo as Wolverine.

While Jackman will always own that role, Cavill does present an interesting choice for a multiverse role in another movie. I think he could totally rock it.

He absolutely would.

I'm glad Amazon gave him a starring role as well as exec producer on the Warhammer 40k project. It's his favorite IP and with the money and trust behind him, it's gonna be grimdark glorious.

Most on here probsbly aren't familiar with it but trust me when I say it's gonna be cool.
