Puerto Rico in August for me. 3 days traipsing thru the jungle having to use a machete to find buildings on a mountainside.Hottest place I’ve personally been was Memphis Tennessee in August
I was in Puerto Rico in march once. It was hot then. Hard pass for AugustPuerto Rico in August for me. 3 days traipsing thru the jungle having to use a machete to find buildings on a mountainside.
it was kinda cool for 3 days, definitely felt like an explorer. no way I could have done it for even a month. I lost 15-20lbs over those three days.
worst part with the spiders. they aren't venomous, but they like to bite. and there are just as many of them as there are mosquitos anywhere else.
the one good thing was we were pretty much never in direct sunlight. forest canopy was too thick.I was in Puerto Rico in march once. It was hot then. Hard pass for August
Did you have a chance to do one of the zip line canopy tours?the one good thing was we were pretty much never in direct sunlight. forest canopy was too thick.
issue was it so was dang hot and wet it was constantly steaming. first day we tried to dodge the rain showers, put on coats, took shelter. by the second day we realized we weren't getting any more wet than we already were.
I can't imagine what it was like to spend years over in Vietnam in far worse conditions while fighting; but I can appreciate having dry socks.

We had tablets we were trying to use. 2 shut off due to the humidity, third one ran slow so we were working on paper drawings.Spent some time in Panama in May - August 2017. Humidity levels are close to 85%.
Imagine wearing a wet blanket while working in the afternoon sun, when it's 90 plus degrees.
I've got relatives that live NE of Austin, TX. We were down there in August, I want to say 2015, and I don't think the highs were ever below 100 while down there. Because of school schedules for the kids it's almost always summer when we visit but that year was just ridiculous even by local standards.New record for this date here 101 degrees actual. Not heat index.
Its 87 degrees now at 1104pm.
Good times and whatnot. Calling for 101 again tomorrow with heat index ~110
87 degrees is considered a nice, cool overnight low temperature here during a summer heat wave. We've been unusually cool so far this year though. Currently 112 degrees at the airport. Tonight's low temp forecast to be 86 degrees.New record for this date here 101 degrees actual. Not heat index.
