green is bad
Nice! Peat hasn't been good to me lately, but good stuff.Looks like the big bad weather just passed right on by us here, but I’m gonna roll with it anyway. Got some old REO Speedwagon’s Ridin The Storm Out (Gary R could play with the best of em) blaring through the Bose and some of life’s comforts on hand.

Didn’t realize you live up that way. I lived in Elizabethton from 2014-2018. I miss playing golf up that way. Most everything in middle TN is flat. Love the elevation changes up your way. I really miss the tee shot on #12 at Buffalo Valley though it shut down. Also miss Graysburg Hills in Chuckey. Hell I even miss Pine Oaks!Tri-Cities Kingsport.

Dude I’ve played Pine Oaks more than any course I’ve stepped foot on. They used to close the clubhouse at 6pm. Allowed walkers to play until dark. My wife was in Med School at the time so she was studying a lot. I bought a push cart and was out there 3 or 4 nights a week in the spring and summer. In June and July I could usually get 18 in with time to spare. I’ve never played better golf. That’s what it takes. You gotta be hitting shots on a regular basis.I was a member at Graysburg for 21 years and still play there fairly often. I now play The Crossings quite often since it’s now public now and play The Cattails At Meadowview the most of all of them, it’s 10 minutes from home and I purchase the Gold card there which is a very good deal if you’re paying often. I had played Buffalo Valley a few times, didn’t care much for it, same with Pine Oaks. I hear Pine Oaks has come along away and is much better shape now.
Throwing this out there as a shot in the dark to all our VN lawyers and pretend lawyers. I have a cousin in a bad marriage, they've been separated for a few months. The divorce is coming but the husband is dragging his feet on filing, even though he initiated it. She left the house even though she had legal right to stay until things are settled and is back living with my aunt and uncle. Come to find out when my cousin is going to an important doctor's appointment she found out that the husband removed her from his health insurance. Not sure how much this context matters legally but he was a controlling and traditional dude that wanted her to be stay at home and not work, she was working full time until he made it clear that's what he wanted and she quit and got on his plan.
In my preliminary research it appears that it's certainly illegal to drop the spouse from the coverage during divorce proceedings, however since the husband is taking his sweet time with everything he hasn't filed yet. So technically it looks like he's in the clear, but i can't imagine a judge would look very kindly on that behavior if it came to it? Just wondering if the juice is worth the squeeze here, she's got some major medical appointments that would not be feasible to pay out of pocket. She is getting zero communication back from him and his lawyer.
What's the play here?
