well its been a week.

was down in Mississippi helping my GF's family this weekend. Her grandmother is in the hospital and we were down there visiting and searching the house for the various paperwork, and generally getting stuff in order. Took us 2 days just to round up and sort the various paperwork. highlight was when they found a .22 revolver and absolutely lost their minds. turns out it was completely demiled. barrel blocked on both ends, the cylinder was even made unfunctional.

anyway got back later than we wanted Monday, to the point we were stuck in rush hour traffic. day pretty much wasted.

Took Tuesday off because I knew I needed time to get settled, car needed work, groceries, laundry, general cleaning, and wanted to work around the house some. Took my car in after rescheduling from this weekend. oil change, and had a few things I wanted looked at. 2 hour timeline turned into a 6 hour affair. again day wasted. but they didn't even get everything done, so I have to go back this weekend. Willing to bet they didn't actually order the part they needed, so I have a feeling it will be a waste of a trip. 1500 bucks gone from that. got nothing else done.

woke up this morning to water in the basement. been an issue, but haven't been able to fully address because I can't be home for 2 weekends in a row.

getting back to work with several hundred emails including from a GC who doesn't understand that a 30% set was never going to be 100% fully coordinated and finished.

Oof. There are periods which go like this. Good news is not that they stop happening, the good news is you get better at dealing with them.

Dang Louder thats rough bro. Hopefully you get some downtime at home to have a few beers and get things done headed into the weekend. Sometimes when it rains, it pours. Tell that GC to kiss your ass LOL. The project I am close to finishing has 6 (6!) Superintendents counting the assistants and at least half of them have no idea what the Hell they are doing. Makes for fun times when they send emails all the time and CC everyone in this area code with pictures and assertions about things they dont understand...just to try and look like they are actually doing something. Good times man. At least the head GC and the PM are old school and leave me alone. Hopefully the guy harrassing you will do the same brother.

Yeah thinking theres no way i get to watch the 2nd half with yall. Probably a hard fought game. We need to score at least 70 to win. SC has won every game opponents have scored 69 or less except maybe 1? I think theyre undefeated in those ugly games. We played SO BAD last time tho. Shot 24% from 3 and only 60% on free throws and still could have won. We are a much better team IMO just need to shoot the ball halfway decent. I am honestly more concerned about this game than UK at home though. I think we hang 100 on those clowns again. GO VOLS
